  • Cool Running Week of October 30th, 2005

    I did 12 miles today all in all felt really great got some major lactic acid build up around 2 hour mark so I ran faster for a bit then slowed it down TOTOALLY worked I had read doing that will help and it did WOOHOO.

    So next week it's 13 miles and we go from there past my barrier to nomans land LOL>

        WOOHOOO TOYMOM tearing up the streets. WOW we got a lot a milage going on here we should start keepin g track of how many miles all us cool runners do that would be cool.

            Congratulations everyone, by the end of November I hope to be joining you all, but am going to build up with brisk walking for a few weeks. I have a pedometer and started on Sunday by doing 2707 steps (a lot llonger than I thought), the yesterday I did 2957 and today (if I can ever tear myself away from this board) I intend to do more... and so on...

            I have also ordered a treadmill because the weather here is hideous so when it comes hopefully it will inspire me more

            *I think... trying to avoid the scales due to general inability to cope with any gains without reaching for ice-cream

              Hey guys. Hubbie is off this week so I will be running at dif times during the day. Most likely will keep milage from 5-10 miles per run as Sun is big day and I don't want to be pooped out. Walked alot yesterday, but because of halloween, b-day, and company haven't been able to do a long run since @thurs. I am feeling it too.-- I will get back with ya tonight and let you know how it went. Great job everyone--Props go out to Sarah for her 12--whoo hoo. Welcome JenDoe, one step, one day at a time you will be a runner!!!

                4.5 miles.... Someone was running and walking, so after I ran mine I ran/ walked with them and chatted. A total stranger.....This WOE affects more than just the waistline

                  WTG Jen & Rach!! You guys rock!! Jen, you keep at it and you will amaze yourself with your progress! Rach, you are so right; this WOE reaps great rewards in MANY ways!!

                  Put me down for another 6.2 miles on Tuesday night! Tomorrow is an off day and I need it .. the muscles are TIRED~that's good though!!

                      I am sick today like a dog got a horrible stomach bug so I was off today I'm glad I got the 12 in on Sunday but, I am so mad that I have been having so much going on.

                      Tomorrow is a new day with that I amj really Praying to feel better.

                        Just waiting to see if I lose the food I ate this morning LOL. From the North end LOL. Hope not. My tummy feels great I wanna run but, I don't wanna have a crap attack so I'm waiting patiently here with my exercise duds on.

                        It snowed here last night COOL hey but, I hate the snow and I have no Boots cause the ones I had were soo huge on my feet I threw them out. My feel shrunk 1.5 sizes WACKY!!

                          I ran 8 miles took me 1 hour 29 minutes But I am sooo happy YAY. I'm back again after the FLU nothing will stop me.

                          I was pissed too I want the book Slow Burn by Stu Middleman and they didn't have it at the book store so I need to order it. He's an amazing low carb runner and runs rediculousmiles doing low carb so I really want his Book.
