Yoly - I dropped down to SIU from RIU for one day (because I was so late getting home last night) and it actually seems to have helped. Today, my muscles felt sore, but tolerable, so I was able to do more of RIU I think than if I'd tried it the way I felt yesterday. I think it's a good idea to give your muscles a _little_ break every now and then.

I did RiU today and slim&limber.....I love that one! But sometimes when I do it right after Riu I get a little light headed. But any other time, when I take a break and get something to drink then go for it im fine. Its so relaxing....makes me wanna do it again.

I must be nuts, but I typed up the majority of the Slim In Six manual for those that have obtained copies of the program without the benefit of the manual. It's in a word document, so if you want to get your hands on a copy, feel free to PM me your email addy and it's yours

I'm also going to create the Steps To Success daily calendar for us in a word document...that or I just might make a copy and paste template for us to use in our daily check-ins. What do you think?!

Here's a section from the manual that I think everyone might get a little mileage out of :

                Getting results- what to expect

When you first start to work out with the program, it may be hard. You may get sore. You may get grumpy. But you will see dramatic improvements…fast. Some say the second week is the hardest. Just when you start to get used to phase one, Start It Up!, wham! –you move on to Ramp It Up! And it’s hard again.

And again, you might get sore. Again, you might get grumpy. And again, it gets easier. The same goes when you move on to Burn It Up!, And that’s what it takes…constant improvement and persistence to increase the intensity for 6 weeks.

In 6 weeks you’ll be able to do more push-ups than you ever dreamed of. Your arms will look great, your thighs will look great and your abs will look great…And it should on only a matter of days before someone comments on your fine behind. All from just 6 weeks of work!

This is a great program, but it is challenging. There are no rewards without the work—both on the routines, and on changing your diet. You can no longer put junk food into your body and expect to get slim. You are going to work too hard to give away your results that way. You will have sweated too much fat off to go backwards by consuming empty “junk” calories.

So find the time for yourself. Do all six days a week. Don’t cheat. The effort matters, because you are doing something that most people fail at. You are changing your body in 6 weeks – 36 days of working out and improving your diet.

This isn’t a “state secret” how it is done. It’s a proven once-a-day commitment, six days a week, no matter what, and watching what you eat.

Of course we all know it’s easy to talk your way out of doing the program for one day, or two, or three in a row. As a matter of fact, that is why we needed the program; because we’ve all said “it’s okay to skip it just this once” too many times. But not this time.

It’s also likely you are very motivated to get started and really go for it. But please, be careful; don’t over-do it when you get started. If you push too hard, you may experience some nausea or hurt yourself and quit before even the first routine is over. We’ve got 6 weeks—so don’t rush it, and don’t give up!

If you follow instructions carefully and remain consistent, you will see your waistline shrink by the end of the first week and feel an incredible “healthy” sensation that will change you.

By far, the most common feedback from all our test groups is that Slim in 6 is more challenging, more fun, and more rewarding than they expected. Everyone wants to get great results. The secret is to pace yourself so you complete the entire 6-week program, and follow our diet and supplement guidelines to maximize the fat burning/slimming results.

Hey Molly I've got a Polar F4. You can see it here: http://www.polar-heartrate-monitors.com/polar_f-4.htm

I really like it for several reasons - aside from the obvious of being able to track stuff. LOL I like it because it's relatively small and it's not cumbersome.

I'd strongly suggest getting a heart rate moniter with a chest strap. They're way more accurate.

I didn't spend more money on mine because I'm not working out under water and I'm not working in a gym/club where other people might be wearing them and winding up with crossed signals. The more expensive models have unique signals and/or are more water resistant. Mine is resistant to something like 30 feet, but I don't get much wetter than 5 feet. LOL

Yoly- If you need to back down to a couple of days of RIU, then DO IT! If you just want to lower your intensity level in BIU, then do that. Make it work for YOU.

And errrm, ummm, Barb.....it was someone else who shall remain nameless but looks sorta just like me. What a rotten, obnoxious pain in the butt that person is! Sheesh! Great before shot, btw!

Would anyone be interested in a private off-site members only webpage for before/current/after pics? If we get brave enough to share them in here as we go, cool, but if not, then we're a members only gig off site where we don't have to worry. Thoughts??

Well done lawyerchick!!! Way to make it work for you

speedy- LOL I hear ya! I love Slim 'n Limber.

Oh, by the way ladies, according to the manual I spent some time typing up tonight...we're supposed to be doing 6pack 3 times a week. Anyone game to commit??? C'monnnnnnnnnnn! We're already in this up to our ears!!

I love the part about being a little grumpy and sore...uh-huh...nailed that one! Luckily the grumpiness last only during the lunges, squats, and a$$crampers...the rest of the workout, I'm just mildly perturbed...
