    that's interesting.
    i timed my flights one night during a commercial. i did 12 flights, steady paced, no running but continuous and only counting the upward and not the decent.
    if i am calculating right, in 16 minutes i would be able to do 96 flights.
    2 minutes = 12
    4 minutes = 24
    8 minutes = 48
    16 minutes = 96

    the numbers are not too far off, but, i could never go 16 minutes. i was thinking about this yesterday as i was climbing. i am, for all intentional purposes, on a steep incline since i am actually going up stairs. would you agree with that? does that make sense? do you think this would be harder? i know nothing really about stairmasters but i'll bet they are able to inclines and such. i just know that i would not be able to go 15 minutes at a time up these stairs.

    this has really peaked my interest.

    and btw, great job on you climb! is you buttocks hurting yet? lol
    i can feel muscles aching that haven't ached in awhile!

      did my stuff today
      16 flights 1/2 of what's needed for my current climb
      pushups
      crunches
      bike
      arm work w/weights

      i am liking the stair climbing. something new and workds up a sweat very quickly.

        Doesn't it just!!! (work up a sweat). I don't plan to go out of my way to do extra stairs every day...but when now I hardly ever take elevators when I come across them...and when the building is tall...phew! Can't have whoever I'm with waiting too long for me at the top!

          I live in a high rise and I live on the 6th floor. This morning after reading all the post on here, I decided to take the steps. I counted them....88 STEPS. I will take the steps each time now. I am also going to start power walking tonight It looks like rain though Hopefully by the time I get home, rain is gone.

            could you go to the pledging flights thread and tell us which climb you will tackle first? there is a worksheet for your use that you will find in the very first post.

                  i have over 44,000 points now!! i'll be there by weeks end if all goes well!!!!

                  did my biking, flights, met goal on the pushup.
                  i am pumping the peddles on my bike just as fast as these little short legs can go!!!

                    woo hoo Jimmie Jo I'm in the chase for platinum but at 1,000,000 points it will be an ultramarathon to get

                    I used to love climbing the stairs. I remember when I was 7 my grandmother was visiting us and we were at the staue of liberty and they wwere waiting in the line for the elevator and i raced them up the stairs. I was there waitng for an eternity it seemed like cause my dad agreed only if I'd wait by the elevator for them if I got there first and I was busting to say I beat you every time the doors opened.

                    I have been having fun checking out the new gyms and Mother's yard work while not as intense as mine was is still giving me a free workout just about every day pulling all the weeds and uprooting all the volunteer trees in her beds and paths. i swear I could have the entire staff of the victory garden show here working full time and she would still find work for me to do

                      Really glad you're pleased with the graphic Jimmie. Must be way cool. I love the way you're organising this challenge... such fun!

                      2big... can just picture you at 7 running up those stairs. Boy, the energy we had at that age! Though on this WOE, we get to come close!

                      Skipped my exercise this morning . Got people coming so had to get the housework done, which was almost as tiring! Dogs got their walk though.

                            oh boy you exceeded your 750 points allowed total for a day woo hoo.

                            yep the only way I know how close folk are to the medals is when they earn it it shows on my page. I see total points which is what gets posted each week, medals won, the last day you posted, and your challenge level. In theory I could click your first column and see everyday what you did and total those all up to get a running total but that is just too much work when we got so many folk going and many for over a yr now.

                                i assume since no one has been in here for awhile that all is good in the world of goalieland.

                                i continue to keep biking and finished the ball push up challnege.....i may have already reported that. i got my silver! finally!

                                i will finish up the forth rail bridge today. i did it in 3 days doing 15 flights per day. for a couple of different reasons, i think i will do all the virtual buildings first then carry on with the mountains.

                                i have asked sadie@126 to join us here. we all know the importance of keeping up with things when we reach goal.
