    2big.... sounds amazing to have deer in your garden! Here, you're lucky if you even see them in the nature reserves! Wow! Hope they don't get to too many of your veggies...

    I had to leave for a whirlwind trip to the islands again... a real last minute thing... so hardly on for long enough to post much this week . Exercise and dog walking went up the spout while travelling, but did walk a lot on the island today...getting chores sorted (and tenants organised). It's a kind of 'no car' place, which is good!

        sadie! good job! have you decided what kind of stuff you want to work on through the week?

        i feel so lazy today. i will get my flights in but i don't know what else.

            didn't do it tonight, 2big. jimmie came in second but has a really good lead as far as points go.

            i didn't do my flights. my head is just pounding and i just didn't feel like doing anything. i'll get stuff done tomorrow if the headache is gone.
            the upstairs is hot in this house and i get headaches if i get too hot. i feel a bad summer coming on.

              i have been feeling a little off the past couple of days. didn't even do my flights yesterday. bad bad jimmiejo.

              got 15 flights done today along with some pushups, crunches, biking and lef lifts. there is no ac in the house and i swear it gets hot doing this stuff. we don't have screens on the doors and only half the windows. there is not enough air blowing through. i am sweating just sitting here soooo i guess i am burning calories just sitting!

                i have decided to climb the stairs,i pledge sydney opera house,and i am doing running along with some dancing and rope jumping
                i have to buy a new Dvd player this week so i will be able to do some exercise dvds,and slim in 6 ..woohoo!

                  oh man Jimmie i feel for you. Mt 90 yr old neighbors AC died Sunday andhe has been hanging out here cause he has a lung problem. i went over to his house last night and it was 84 inside so I opened some windows to vent it since it was only 82 outside. it was so humid in his house I was soaked before i even got 1/2 way done.

                  I did my BFL today and I need to go tell somebody i did my ball push ups yesterday.

                    good choices sadie! how many steps are you going to do in day? did you use the worksheet to find your goal for each day and each week?


                    2big, i was sitting here last night and sweat just started pouring off me! i ripped my shirt off and got a towel that hangs on my exercise bike and wiped myself down. for some reason this particular room is hotter than than the others. jack noticed it last night. our bedroom had begun to cool off and i told him to walk into the computer room ans he said, yes, this is much hotter than the bedroom. this is an old house and i am supposing there is a complete lack of insulation in the attic.

                    my plan for today is getting the yard mowed. couldn't get the mower started yesterday. i'll get in my flights and do some biking.

                      Nice that you will be able to take mom to the Gym 2big!

                      Jimmie I can sympathize with the heat...even with a/c our upstairs is almost unbearable.

                      Sadie, welcome to the goalies thread!

                      I haven't checked in for a while so thought I better, Still up to 2.5 miles (takes 30 mins..outdoor running) every day, at least 3 days a week but aiming for 5. Ran Tues, wed, thrus this week, will take a break tomorrow (legs can't take much more), then maybe again saturday. I'll have to try to get into some kind of routine. I really have to drag myself out..but I feel so good after i've run. This week temps here were over 100 degrees and i still go out anyway, just went out earlier in the a.m. when the temp was only in te 90's lol

                      Also still doing my mt. kilamanjaro stair climb and going to the gym 3/4 days a week too.

                      I'm going to try very hard not to slack off once summer gets here..I must stay committed!

                        Yep took Mother to get a swimsuit so she can swim or just play in pool when that pool is ready in the other gym I'll get her a real full time memebership. I got a respite care person to sit with moither while I workout and she said she will be happy to watch and supervise her at the pool too.for an extra $10 a month the repite care person can be her guest and swim too . I just love when something good happens.

                          2big, that is so cool for both of you! actually, all three of you! you get time to work out, mom gets some work out of her own in the pool and the helper gets some exericise and the extra cash! what a great deal for all of you!


                          i joined the upcoming challenge and i have decided to do my biking every other day and concentrate on my non bike stuff on the other days. it's a plan but i don't know how successful i will be. i'll do the flights each day with maybe one day between a finished climb and the next one.

                            i had to go back a page to see who i had missed. sadie, oh my goodness, i want to say are you kidding me but i know you aren't. 100 degrees! how's come you were that hot? we got to the low 80's but that's a far cry from the 100 you had and i'm south of you! it's was perfect today. cloud cover kept it from getting too warm and i suppose we were mid 70's. perfect. i slept with a box fan running last night and i think it drown out the sound of the trains! didn't wake up even one time hearing them.

                            i am with you on the committed part. i have scheduled myself on what days i will do things. i hope i can keep it going through the summer too.

                              Back from the islands. Had a great time, though it was a very intense working holiday. Tearing around most days, organising flatlets and tenants. Still managed to get a couple of boating days in. Weather gorgeous. Now I've really gotta get back on track with the exercise, walking and stair climbing! Gonna be hard though as this promises to be one of the most frantic weeks of the season back here in Umbria!... hardly time to breathe, but really never a dull moment!

                              Seems Sadie's boiling away in temps up in the 100s, 2big's getting cool (or aboiut to get cool) in the pool with mom and helper and Jimmie's keeping warm with all her activities and challenges. Yay!
