    i had an aunt that was afflicted with it. jack has had it on his side too.

    my buddy ernest....her dad is in the very first stages of it. they are treating him and he is doing very well, but family is already making plans for the day when ernest's mom will need the help. your a good daughter for caring for her like you do.

      I second Jimme, 2big, I can only imagine what you are dealing with, and your devotion to your mom comes out loud and clear in your posts. For that matter, your inate desire to help everybody is most obvoius and poignant about your mom. She is very blessed.

          Off to bed. WATP the 2mile tonight, 2 miles around the lake on my noon hour today. I've been focusing more on resistance because these are borrowed tapes, and boy did I feel it

          Rotten Jimmie gave me homework too, now I have to figure out the significance of your RHR number I know my target heart rate, or know when I'm working above it really, and didn't realize there was anymore to it

            i am working on the rhr too. it's kinda peaked my interest now that the b/p numbers are where they are suppose to be.

              thanks guys.

              Did 60 min HIIT treadmilling this morning. Mom is so cute sh peeks to see what the noise is and where I am and what am I going to do about that noise in her house then sees me on the treadmill say s oh its you and scurries out. I have a walkie talkie with the send button taped open so I can keep tabs on her wile I work out so i know she is a coming. If she gets out of range or I hear cooking things being messed with I got to jump off and run check on her but she has been pretty good about it if I wait until she has had breakfast before I get on.


              the resting heart rate will amaze you as you progress with your exercise. Mine went from 74 to the low 50s over the last 4 yrs. those beats we don't use now will be availible to us in later life cause we will have less wear and tear on our hearts.

              Of course it also back fires on us when we are working out cause our heart has become more efficient at pumping and our muscle more efficient at usings so we gots to go faster further longer to getr to our target heart heart too.

                  LOL Jimmie. I KNOW! I thought it was GOOD when the exercise got easier. NO, just means now you have to work harder to make the same progress. Sigh. Great.

                    if i would have known this i would have started out really slowly and worked up to the frenzy part. lol

                    today is biking day and maybe a set of flights. i know sal is going to pass me today so if i get a few in, we might be on the same flight. we can have a jug of water together!

                      hey Jimmie jo why is the memeber of the dasy ?

                      I'm sure you have already experiences this with your biking. we treadmillers have to add incline to make it slightly harder to keep the heart in range. it isn't whop you got to go 10 mPH fasadter next week it is more like .5 MPH increase next week or even just .25 MPH biking you could just increase your cadance 5-10 more per min and not change the resistance till you got as fast as you wanted then dial up the resitance a little at a time each time your workout gets too easy.

                      you have already done that with your ball pushups it got too easy so you moved your ball back

                        OK, nothing today. Nada. Didn't even really play with the kids as we had some errands to do after work. Then I went to bed at 9 just beat, and a good thing too as the baby's been up for 2 hours now!!! Better tomorrow.

                          Gulp! I've often wondered.... where does it all end????? When can we stop increasing??? Have a visual of a future Mrs Muscles raising enormous weights 24 hours a day! I don't wanna exercise in my sleep too! lol!

                              sal, i did 10 flights yesterday in anticipation that you would be at 80. i misjudged by 6 flights i see. lol

                              today is everything but bike day so i'll be getting in another 30 at the least. i'll let the water jug for you, sal!

                              2big, yeah, the push ups did get easier and now that the ball is at my knees my arms have a "soreness" all the time. doing them every other day even seems to kill my arms. it was a good move on my part but i really struggle to get in 20 most of the push up days.

                              some of the girls that are doing so many might do well to slide that ball down and reduce the number.
                              as far as the bike goes, i lowered my tension by one notch and biked farther, longer. this was to get my reading done. when the book is finished, i'll probably keep the tension where it is but up the speed to 12 - 13 MPH. that's a pretty good clip for my short little legs. i enjoy my bike.
