    i got the whole start it up done today. arms ache!!!
    also did 13 minutes of vigorous biking.

    staying on track and active!!

          Got in 8 minute legs last night, and my Benji routine today. So funny, really. I was trying to explain to a friend that I was exercising with him and she thought I meant trying to get him (9 month) to exercise LOL. She was thinking I had finally lost my last marble.

          Also did yard work and 2 grocery stores. Night all.

            went to the gym this morning and have barbell time did some cardio and situps.

            did lots of yard work this evening and keeping up with Mother too.

              Hot walking the doggies today, as I was late (10 am), but got through the full 40 mins. Also usual 40 min exercise routine before the walk. Phew!
              Took a day off exercise yesterday as I had a horribly early start.
              Before and after:

                you guys are so on track. i am proud of everyone. look how far we have come since that thread was started that we were having problems. good on all of us!

                i haven't done anything yet but will get flights in (was suppose to yesterday but mowed instead) and i'll get some push ups in. i want to get started on the next part in the book to so maybe 10 minutes of biking? we'll see.

                sal, you got 122 flights so i'll get to at least that point. i think i have 110 right now. save me some water!!!

                edited to say that i just went ahead and did a bunch of flgihts. i did 5 sets of 12 flights and stuck some ball push ups in between.

                  8min leg/buns/stretch. 25 squats holding a sleeping Benji. Carrying Benji at a party today (obviously I carry him all the time, but today, when I would set him down, I would TOTALLY feel it in my arm, shoulder and back...so I'm counting it!). Arms w/2#'s.

                  resistance going very well, cardio not so good. Goal this week of 5 cardio workouts and not weighing til Sat.

                    does your stairs challenge count stairs or flights of stairs no matter how many steps?

                    yard work sucks when the yard needs rain cause pulling weeds is harder then upright rowing at the gym! go company coming this week so I will be out of here this weekend hopefully sis will take Mother and I will get siome real sleep but then I'd miss playing with the nephwe so.... desisions decisions.

                      the instuction booklet states that a flight of stairs is an average of 15 steps. the stairs in my house have exactly that amount. that number (15) is what a person should be basing their climb on. the booklet has the
                      worksheet so each person can calculate their target flights.

                      example:
                      1. the highest number of STEPS that climbed in one day is 200.
                      2. divide the daily steps by 15 (average number of steps in in a flight) to get the daily FLIGHT goal. the answer is 13.33333 (round it to 13 or 14. i rounded to 14).
                      3. then mutiply the daily flight goal by 7 to get your WEEKLY FLIGHT GOAL.


                      now, if someones particular stairs in their house has only 10 steps, they would not be climbing as many flights is i do, if they indeed were just using the booklets flight calculations. the instuction booklet does not allow for a variance when calculating, but it does have the amount of steps in each climb.

                      if i was climbing slieve donard, using the basement stairs, which only has 10 steps, i would have to do more flights. the 360 (flights of slieve donard) is based on 15 stairs per flight. 5,390 divided by 360 is 15 (rounded)
                      if the stairs being used have 10 steps per flight, one would have to climb 539 flights, not 360. 5,390 divided by 10 = 539 flights.

                      now, am i going to police that? there is no way i can do that. if someone wants to do the climbs dishonestly that is theirs to deal with, not mine.

                        Last night stomped away the pounds, added the arms in early, and did my 8min stretch after. Boo ya. (I love Mojo). Today will do a power walk at lunch for sure, may do 8 min b/l/s late tonight.

                        Hope all you stair climbers are doing well. I gotta admit, it's kind of irritating to walk so hard and get nowhere

                          thanks for the explaination Jimmie jo I was eying our little 3 step "flight" off Mom's deck when i thought about y'all.

                          I did my gym time today and am loving it but my right upper "can" in the six pack keeps cramping and boy does that hurt and the stretch for it is to lean back to the left and strtch out exactly what it doesn't want to do. I had sto skip the rowing part of my workout cause just about ever bend it would cramp. and the situps were a diasaster. it got so bad folk told me it was my gall bladder and I needed to go to the ER. LOL No i showed a trainer the knot in my ab muscle and said not not today. he said he had never seen one of the 6 cramp usually it is all of them or a pair of them. So if my typing veers tot he right you now i'm bent over typing.


                          I'm running away from home this weekend and kidnapping my nephew. He and my sister are arriving late thursday night and I'm dumping (no polite word for it) Mother on her and leaving the scene. I may come back one day early for my Nephews safety on the trip home so she can sleep some before they go back but freedom is calling.

                              i would love to accomodate a 3 step flight, 2ibg!

                              let me see... at 3 steps per "flight" it would take you 107 flights to do the millennium dome instead of the 21 flights (at 15 steps per flight). same amount of steps, the only thing changed is the flights numbers.

                              go for it 2ibg!! lol

                              edited to say i did 16 minutes on my bike and read the yeast chapter. some of it twice......... and did start it up.

                                power walked in the woods on mylunch hour today. Probably about 3 miles an hour, walked an hour. Maybe a bit faster.
