Re: Cool Running for May 21st to May 27th

    Loana,

What Sarah said is right, just walk and add short jogs in. I'll only add this don't be so worried about the time, like the 4 minute 1 minute, sometimes you'll want to run more, sometimes you'll want to run less. Just do what you CAN and don't quit. You can do it and the camaraderie among runners is simply awesome. You'll be at a race (yes you will someday) and you'll be talking to strangers like they were your best friend. Because you all have a very big thing in common, running.

Re: Cool Running for May 21st to May 27th

5 mile again this morning, touch slower (24 sec) than yesterday, and I really wanted to break the 50 minute barrier for the first time this year, but alas nothing left in the tank coming home.

16 days til 1st race of the year

One more thing: I wanted to break 310 by this weekend, I was 311.9 this morning but I was 308.6 after my run. I can't count it as an actual weigh in but I will count it as very short term goal accomplished. (that was from 318.1 on Wednesday, the first four days of the scale climbing was frustrating, darn water)

Re: Cool Running for May 21st to May 27th

Saturday: 14 miles in OMG heat and humidity..(it is now 98 degrees and a heat index of 111). I hoped to make it 15, but I got a serious leg cramp at 13.25 and walked the last .75.

                Week: 6.3, 6.3, 6.3, 14 = 32.9
