    Thanks, Debbie!

I took a sterilized pin to it last night .......... and you know what, water poured out of it! like a blister??!! Anyway, the pressure is less today and I hope it will do okay for my 8 miler ... I've never had this problem before and I've been running for nearly a year and a half ... but not as far miles-wise as I am now...maybe that's the reason??

I so want to get conditioned for that 1/2 marathon in January!!!!!!! Want to get up to 10 miles soon with my training runs!!! (hopefully!!) Right now, its 32 miles a week ... that seems to be enough for now!

Hey, girlie, walking 5ks is GREAT!!! Soon you'll be running them, I just know it!! Its so darned addictive! Best wishes with the foot!! Let us know how you're doing and thanks again for the advice!

Betty, do you know any marathon runners? I don't want to gross you out but all the marathon runners that I know experience this. They have all lost their big toe nails. I'm not kidding :yikes Our roommate has not had toenails on his big toes for years.

But........ the benefits of running sure out weigh having to wear shoes all the time LOL

Good luck!! :nod Don't stop running because of that though....

Well Debbie, then, I look forward to being toenail-less from here on out, cuz I ain't givin' up the running! :nono

Sarah, do you have ANY IDEA how proud I am of you??????????????????
You are just relentless!!!!! You make me look like a freakin' slacker!!!
          GIRLIE YOU DA BOMB!! WTG!

I finished 8 grueling miles on that sore toe, despite putting blister covering over it first ... came home and got into the bathtub and filled it with ice water and soaked the toe .. well the blood is surely under the nail clearly ... looks like I painted my toenail........ :sadblinky and it HURTS!!! I may have to go in to the doctor and get this thing DRILLED ... (anybody got a bullet for me to bite?)

Anyway, I finished the 8 miles, burned 802 calories and sweat like a freakin' pig. I am tired, sweaty, sore, and EXHILARATED! Just like any crazy running addict!

Okay, that gives me 16 miles for this week. Rest day tomorrow, then hit it again on Friday (toe willing)....

166 running hours logged on my HRM since last May .. 61,454 calories burned.......17.56 pounds ... POOF!!

I did my 3 k this morning (or whatever it is..lol) and it was WONDERFUL!
I am positive the hiking in my heavy boots is what tired my legs out so much and that's why I dragged myself on my tuesday run. Today I felt fresh and strong the whole way there and back.
I still am amazed at how quickly a person's stamina builds.

Oh, and yesterday, a customer left her debit card and I had to sprint after her in the mall. I just did it without thinking, and I realized that I didn't feel like my body was flopping all over the place, and I didn't even get out of breath!

Betty, hope your toe is doing well!
                    Sarah, you go, girl!!!
Everyone else...have a great day whether it's an exercise day or not. :joy

Okay, this was supposed to be a rest day .... but DD decided she wanted to run today instead of tomorrow ........so.......... we managed 6.2 miles .. decided NOT to overtax the TOE ... which is still bleeding under the nail, but doesn't hurt all that bad ... maybe the nail has begun to separate and is letting out the pressure? I don't know. The last two days after running I've soaked it in the coldest water I can find ... seems to help.

My goodness it was so windy out there today .. lil me just about blew away! :yikes Some gusts were like 45 mph .. well folks, at 94 pounds ... get the visual?? :raving I'm like clingin' to the trees.................

So REST DAY DEFINITELY TOMORROW .... Then watch out Saturday!! :guns

                          Hi Betty,

Sorry I haven't posted much lately. Work is crazy, life is nuts. But running is still a priority. 3 miles just about every day now, except my off days, of course.

I had stomach issues today and didn't want to be very far from a restroom. :sadblinky I didn't feel well, so I slacked today.

I hope your toe gets better soon, Betty. Your new picture looks great by the way!

                              Bye! :wave

:hug Piasabird! Hope you're feeling alot better today. I understand the tummy issues and not wanting to be too far from the potty....is there anything worse than being in the middle of a long run and feeling 'the urge'? :anger Then it becomes a true test of endurance!!!

You rest up, hon, and take it easy until you feel better!

The toe is feeling alot better ... thanks for caring! Oh and thanks for your compliment about my new pic! I ordered myself a halter top so had to try it on!!
