OK here's what the Doc said. He thinks my old shoes were to blame. Ok I that I can handle. He said to not to walk until it feels better and then to build up slowly after I get new shoes. So I can do that I guess. I am thinking it might be time to haul out the bike and go explore some of the trails around here. I think I should be ok biking. Just trying to figure out how many miles I would have to go to get a good workout. Anyone have any ideas? I did get my HRM today and so far it seems pretty cool although Polar's user manuals leave a bit to be desired. Right now I am trying to figue out how to set the alarms for target heartrate.
thanks for all the supportive and kind words.

39. Overall a good run on a warm afternoon with resistance wind on the back half. My previous fastest 10k run was in an actual race where I finished in 1:14:02. So I'm happy! Sweatin' like a pig and red as a beet, but HAPPY!
