congrats on keeping yourself clean of both of those things! lauren has been dealing with the caffeine in a big way. starting a new job for the summer, the commute, the kids, hubby who has been having physical woes has all been alot of pressure for her. maybe your strength will help her!

I am here. I did have a glass of ice tea at lunch. I figured it was the better choice that or diet soda. Water in the diner was gross. I am not worried about it as coffe was the read addiction. My biggest yea ( I know wrong thread I just have to share) was I didnt even think of cheating at lunch YEA!

i do what i can little missy! i suspect tea would be better than the coffee. they put so much ice in a glass that it has to dilute it some, right?
are you eating out at lunchtime?


i have passed for a second night on the ice cream. wanted to keep hanging in there with ya! i have not heard from the bryers people yet about the caffeine content of the chocolate. until then, i won't eat it. know what? i found that the first cup of decaf in the morning feel good....the second cup, not so much.

This is the first time I have eaten out because I know myself and know I will cheat. A sister called and wanted to have lunch and she happens to live in the town I work in

how are you doing on the drive home? has the lack of caffeine during the day made you sleepier on the drive?

I am very sleepy during the day. I nap almost every day at lunch. Drive home is fine I either call a friend and chat or sing at the top of my lungs. We have 3 great Christian radio stations plau I have lots of CD's

do you think the tiredness is from the lack of coffee? or the regime you have going right now with the drive and the job and then homelife at the end of day?

i wondered what that sound was coming from the southwest! lol

i finally heard back from breyers about the ice cream.

Thank you very much for contacting us. The Breyers All Natural Coffee
ice cream contains 15 milligrams of
caffeine per 1/2 cup serving. The caffeine count is not measured in the
chocolate.

i didn't ask them about the coffee flavor. it has more mg of caffeine than the milk does.
they say the caffeine count is not measured in the chocolate so would you guess that to mean it is so insignificant in number that it wouldn't matter? hmmmmm..... i can send a reply via other channels and i may ask them that very question.

i really wanted that chocolate ice cream last night. i have eaten all my pumpkin and cranberries and strawberries and yogurt. i dashed tot he store for some vanilla but the was a no go. two grocery stores here in town but neither one had breyers vanilla. drat the luck! i just came back home and had a cup of decaf.

lauren, i'll bet your day was hectic. i'll bet your week was hectic!

jack knows how i am trying to cut the chocolate out for the month. he went to the store and got me some low carb ice cream. it was the very brand, the very flavor i told him never to buy! it is supremely nasty! the sugar alcohols are twice what breyers has. that may be why it's so dad blasted nasty! so, i didn't eat any ice cream again tonight.
no caffeine except whats in the decaf. little tiny itty bitty amount.

i hope everyone is on track!

Hello Jo,
I am very tired from my week . Last night we had camp fire so I got home at almost 11. Today I have kids day out at church so its a go go go day! Still no coffee. At least I am not worried about getting exercise in. I never stop moving these days.

My name is Cristy and I'm a diet pop addict! I can't believe how much I actually am craving it. Last time I tried Atkins I wasn't losing any weight, and I didn't really believe it was the drinks... they were DIET after all. This time I'm trying to stay away and the pounds are coming off. I did have some on vacation, but I'm back on the water now. The weight loss stalls and headaches aren't worth it.

good girl! you know we are chating about diet sodas in the summer reading program right now. at least we were last night. things will change as we continue the read.

so, christy, are you on board with us here to stay committed to no caffeine for the month of june?

lauren can't check it much because of her new summer job, and freckles has an MIA PM coming.

i am still at it. no chocolate ice cream, no fully leaded coffee, no carb countdown chocolate milk.
