    Peggy;

    So sorry about being house bound. :hug

    Where are you at in Florida? I have a brother in Fernandina Beach. Maybe you can go shake some sense into him. He keeps *trying* Adkins but gives up too easily. Keeps using the excuse that all the tri's, cholesterol, etc is too high to do Adkins.

    And a brother in Ohio?! Sounds like we are a *reversed* matched family! Do you have any other siblings in, say, Texas (another of my brothers) or Arizona (my sister)?

    Hang in there, it won't be long and we here in Ohio will be having your type weather (or worse) and you will be having the good stuff!

      Hi Rhonda!

      I'm about 2 hours due west of Fernandina--been out that way many times, it's gorgeous (and also rainy now, I think). Too bad your brother won't join us on Atkins. I have known some people who try it and just can't stick with it--I'm not sure there's anything we can do for them. Except be good examples of how it can help.

      I am originally from Ohio, the Cleveland area. My whole family is still in Ohio, my mother in Willoughby, the kayaking brother is in Toledo, and my older brother is in Columbus. I'm going to be driving up that way next spring for my mother's birthday. If I had anyone to go with I would toss the kayak on the car and come up right now!

      I keep telling myself that when it is November and I am out on the river, I can drive my brother crazy the way he's driving me crazy now! I'm so jealous I could just burst! Ah well, this too shall pass. And I am getting a lot of exercise every day just breaking up the monotony with workout videos! So something good is coming of being house-bound. :joy

        I'm a newbie to this site. This is my second try at Atkins. I lost 37 lbs. 2 yrs ago, fell thru the cracks on the holidays and gained it back. I've been having stressful things happening to me since then - loss of job, then new job, change in residence, and this summer, broke my ankle/surgery. I am now cast-free and back to atkins. How can I avoid falling out of atkins going into binges under stress? I did exercise at gym to get rid of frustrations (prior to breaking my ankle). Any suggestions? I NEED HELP and a friend suggested this site. I've got to lose 105 lbs. for my health!
