Re: 50+ and determined!
Just to add --- I recently had to change doctors due to Dr. M's retirement. I went with a younger 'lady' doctor. She is very 'okay' with Atkins and told me to go ahead. I'm glad I decided to get a younger doctor who is open-minded and can look at statistics from every angle. She is encouraging me which helps A LOT. I want to make her proud of my loss and can't wait until my next appt. when I get on those scales. Several years ago when I lost 50 lbs., my blood work numbers were excellent. How can doctors see that and not know this is not harmful in any way and, in fact, a healthy WOE.
QueenSultana, I love your pictures. I gotta say that I have two Boxers and they are our babies. One we got when she was a puppy and the other was a rescue around three years old. We recently bought a king-sized bed so there would be room for four. lol

, dude! Most physicians don't seem to be very hip to nutrition, in general. A pity. It's up to us to educate them, I guess!
