    My weight loss last Saturday was 0. I kind of expected that as I had been unable to exercise for most of the time. I did get to walk on Tuesday and Curves on Wednesday but Wednesday night my back began SCREAMING big time and it hasn't let up much since. Needless to say, I haven't exercised since. My meds have been increased and I can't exercise again until this pain in my back and leg settles down to it's usual level. It is so frustrating when the bod doesn't cooperate with mind. It also discourages my commitment to my diet. I know it shouldn't, but with my high metabolic resistance, I know I can't lose without exercise and then those high carb food cravings seem to take over. I'm going to stand firm this week though and resist them. If nothing else, I'm going to at least maintain my weight loss while my back is an issue until I can return to my exercise. Hope everyone else had a better weigh in than I did.

      I didn't have a weigh in and you'll do fine I am sure of it I'll hold ya up while things are not going soo well you're doing great you'll probably have a nice WHOOSHIE when you are able to start exercising again that would be great. You keep your spirits up we all don't lose every week sometimes I would go 6-7 weeks without losing so you are doing soooo great. My weight loss now is baout 1 pound a week sometimes less so keep it up even know there was no weight loss ya gotta STRUT look how great you are doing.

        Sorry I have been gone for a while, I was visiting my family in michigan and didn't have much access to internet again. Well I didn't cheat, but I overdid the legal foods and gained a bit of weight. I am back home now though and have already done 2.5 miles on the treadmill and am determined to make the scale go back down!!!!! I had a great time visiting though, they threw me a surprise bridal shower, (since I dont know if i'll be visiting again before my wedding), it was mad hatter tea party themed, and had sooo many temptations, but I resisted! Here are some pics if you are interested


        How is everyone else doing?

        I am determined to get the scale back down at least to where it was before I left!! It was 203 last week and today it was 206... must go exercise..

          Mary, you are just so beautiful! Thanks for sharing your pictures. You have a wonderful talented family. A lot of work and cooperation went into that. Do they cater????

          I'm doing ok and am not straying off the diet but I think I need to shake it up some and eat different things. It's like my body is used to the same old thing. I gained five over a weekend of eating carbs, lost it again, and now it just won't budge. Of course it hasn't been that long but I'm not loafing around either! Just frustrated. I know if I stick with it the weight will come off. Just not in my timeframe!

            Thank you so much, you are too sweet!! I know how you feel when you gain and lose the same few pounds and then the scale won't move... I've really been fighting with the last few pounds.. more like wrangelling them LOL. I know you can get your downward momentum back!! Not a bad idea trying to switch up your foods a bit! Goodluck!

              I was in serious jeopardy of caving in and eating the rest of those little snickers bars when God answered my prayers to be rescued from them. Not only was I rescued but I was given the opportunity to burn several calories. We're having a bit of a windy day here and the tree - the very BIG tree - in my front yard blew down. Thankfully it missed the house, the neighbor's house, and the neighbor's car. With a hand saw I cut off as many of the smaller branches as I could get to and got them out of the way so life will be easier when my dh goes at it with the chain saw. I'm tired, dirty, and feeling great! God has a very strange sense of humor!!!

                    LOL... there's a wicked echo in here lately but I'm posting anyway to keep myself on track! I really want to lose that 15 by Christmas and I have lots of work to do. I did discover that while the scale isn't moving the body is still changing. I wore a pair of pants yesterday that have been the snug side of comfortable for two months but they're just fine now and that's after the trip through the washer and dryer when clothing is at it's smallest. So from now on I'll try to not get so frustrated with the scale and go by how my clothing fits. Maybe I'll buy something that's a little too small and have that be my guage.

                      That's a good idea! I always buy a pair of pants one size down and try it on about once a week to see how it's fitting. I can pull up and zip a pair of 16 pants right now, but I can't BREATH in them! But hopefully each week I can breath just a little bit more while wearing them LOL

                        Well I have Been MIA and happy you are doing Well YAnkee the reason for the Echo this happens every 15 days of so is my Husband is Home LOL. I don't go online as much well somethines not at all when he is home I come I read I leave LOL. I don't have time to Post. SO don't lose faith. Have you thought of getting a Journal if you ever feel lost you can come and post in my journal I always make posts on there every day.                           Thanks for the link to the journal Sarah. I've been making drapes for my living room windows and here and there I'm cutting up that tree that blew down in the front yard so all I really can do right now is fulfill the promise to post at least once a day to stay focused!!!

                            Well it's nice to be back to routine, so now I can check in with my saturday weigh in's.. I was 202.3 today, woohoo!! Darn pesky 0.3 though.. 0.3 pounds away from the -60 mark!! Well hopefully tomorrow I can do the "yay I lost 60 pounds" happy dance. Must exercise hard today to get there! My motto as of late.. One pound at a time.. One foot in front of the other...

                            I'm not even going to think about onederland.. I need to get to 201 first, so that is my next goal!!

                              I discovered that there are times when it's best to just put Atkins living away for an hour or so. I am back into a routine today and feeling good but let me tell you about yesterday....

                              Dd had a swim meet this past weekend and if any of you spend time with a competitive swimmer you'll know the meets are endless and deadly boring with the exception of the five minutes total your kid spends in the water. I bring my sewing projects with me to pass the time and make me feel like I'be accomplished something. The mother in front of me had her little boy with her - a three year old. He was bored stiff and just being a little boy and every time he tried to amuse himself he angered his mom. Finally a soda was spilled - by her but he was blamed and had to sit for a "time out". Teary-eyed he sat down beside me on the bleachers and finally asked what I was doing. We talked about cross-stitch and how many threads make a square and favorite colors and old eyes and being scared of the dark and our favorite movies. His grateful mom handed him his snack and when he broke the muffin in half and offered me the larger of the two pieces because he loved me I said thank you and joined him for snack time. It was the best muffin I've had in forever. (His mom let him try my coffee - I always have a large thermos with me - and he thought it was weird!)
