  • Re: CC "Fat Blaster" challenge!

We have been away in not-so-sunny Florida this past week so between being away, the rush to get all the Christmas stuff done before leaving, and the company that came through before leaving I haven't been here at all. I am grateful to have maintained my weight loss through it all. Most days I followed a lo-carb regimen but once we left for Florida it became an effort I didn't want to expend. I ate carefully and walked walked walked walked walked! You can still get turkey legs in the Magic Kingdom and that was helpful. Lots of walking meant lots of pain killers which meant not much appetite and that helped too! We had a great time and I didn't gain weight!!!!!

    Merry Christmas!

Glad to hear you had a great time and didn't gain, congratulations!!! Those turkey legs are the best!!

I was down to 190.8 this morning, so it's still possible, if I work really hard, that I might get below 190 by New Years. That would rock! I was hoping I'd actually be a lot less then that by now, but darnit, it's still something to be proud of. So we'll see where I am on New years..

Anyway, I hope everyone in this challenge is feeling good having a great holiday season!

You've done great throughout this challenge Mary. While I, well.... my original goal was way unrealistic. Will we stay a team and set a new challenge come the new year????

Thanks for all your support, Yankee You're doing great!! You haven't given up and you're still here, which means you are a success!!! If you'd like to start another challenge for the new year, I will join! I'm sure there will be quite a few new challenges starting though as people make their new years resolutions etc, so I don't think I will personally start another one. I would love to join you in another challenge though!!

Well today is the last day of 2005 and... I DID IT!!! I was 189.7 this morning, I was under 190!!!!!!! I had to exercise for two hours yesterday to do it, but I did it!! Woohoo!!! Talk about not having any time to spare!!! Of course I could have lost more if I hadn't screwed up so many times in December, it was a really bad month for me in terms of overeating and binging on atkins foods. Some days I just couldn't stop eating, even if I was only eating legal foods. I have to be very careful about that this year, I only have 3 months and 3 weeks, I can't afford anymore slip-ups if I want to wear that strapless dress for my wedding.

Anyway, I'm barely, just BARELY, in the 180's, and am loving it!

          Happy New Year everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sarah and Mary, you've both been a big reason that I've been able to stick with this - stumbling here and there but overall I'm happy with what I've been able to get off and keep off this year. I still feel too new here to start a new year's challenge. If there's one started that you happen to join can you let me know????

I, _kiyana_________ swear to be faithful to the Atkins Way of Life in order to become healthier and look and feel better about myself. Whether facing fluctuations of the scale, fourth of july picnics, birthday parties, or mean jerks who want to tear us down..., I will not waver in my determination to the promise I have made to myself on this day! For I know that if I am true to the Atkins WOL, health and confidence will surely follow!

My goal is to ___be 250(drop 70 pounds)__________________ by christmas (or the end of the year).

I know that when I achieve my goal, I will book a trip to paris, france and have a professional photo shoot ____________________.

And I promise that when I am having trouble, I will come to my fellow teamsters to help! In addition, I will help my team out by also providing encouragement, wisdom, and understanding when they need it.
