  • Re: CC "Fat Blaster" challenge!

Thanks, Yoly! I am thankful for the support - I am back on my exercise routine and started pumping up the water. It amazes me how hard it is to start a good habit, but how easy to break it!!
That's why this board is so important!
In all the mess I have lost track of my Atkins book - guess I will need to get a new one.

Hey Doris, you're right about it being easy to break good habits!

We're off for another baseball weekend. No frig in this hotel so cooler living is getting tough. It's been two weeks I think without a pound gained or lost so I'll drink tons of water and if there's no lo-carb food around I'm just not going to eat. I do have a stash of dry roasted almonds - only 1 net carb per serving - and we all know I won't waste away in just two days!!!

Hope everyone had a good week!

yankee I am so proud of you. Look at all the things that you are doing for yourself and your program. It doesn't matter that you haven't lost in these last few weeks, you being able to live out of a cooler and follow this WOE is amazing, you are amazing. Have a wonderful weekend, hope they win.

Well today is weight in day for the challenge. I'm down 5 lbs. for this week - this is the 5 lbs. I had gained back - fluid weight I think. Anyway, I'm back even. I did lose 3.25 inches. I've exercised every day except for Friday. When I had to miss that day I was sluggish all day. My body has gotten used to the metabolism being increased in the morning carrying me all day long and it didn't like it when it didn't get it's morning boost. I'm slug free so far in the 6 WEC #20. Hope that carries through to the end. This old back is acting up again but I'm going to hang in there if I can. I have to, I've got a 5 mile walk for breast cancer coming up 10-8.

            Well hi everyone

Sorry I havn't been around in a while but I havn't been able to get to a computer. These last few weeks have been really hard mentally for me as the scale has been jumping up and down. I have been eating on plan so I think it's due to TOM and the fact that I've really stepped up my exercise. I am going to the gym 5-6 days a week now and still doing my Body Combat lesson as well. I think that my body has just needed time to adjust to this new routine but it's been so frustrating.

Being unable to get to ADBB, has made me even more aware of what a great support tool this site is. All I wanted to do was come here and vent my frustrations and talk with the people that understand. Anyway on a happier note, I woke up this morning and had a feeling of being lighter. I weighed in and to my delight I now have a new low of 212 - thats a total loss of 40 lbs. I know I shouldn't let the scale dictate my mood but it's been really hard not to. Having felt so down, I'm now feeling energised and positive again and will be going to the gym this afternoon to celebrate with a long hard work out!

Got my walking in this morning - 3 miles at the mall walking with DH this morning at 6:15 a.m. when the mall open. We woke up at 4:30 a.m. and couldn't go back to sleep so we got up and fixed coffee and surfed the Internet till the mall opened up. After the walk had a big legal breakfast at Cracker Barrel; scrambled eggs and bacon, mmmmm good. I'm 2/3's the way toward that 5 mile goal for my walk-a-thon for breast cancer.

We blew the budget before we came home this afternoon by going to a Ryan's all you can eat buffet. Not necessarily what the whole family wanted but they enjoyed what they ate and I could easily stay on program. After two days of chicken strips and almonds it was wonderful! Salad with lots of legal veggies, steak cooked to order, grilled salmon, yum. Didn't care that the rolls looked good or that the rest of the family was scarfing down skillet cornbread!

Yoly, thanks for the encouraging words. I'm thinking that the hold and drop pattern I'm in is just how I lose weight - staying the same for two to three weeks and then dropping 6 pounds all at once. It's as though God knows I'm at the end of my patience and finally allows me to see progress. Gotta quit praying for patience so there won't be so many tests!!!!

Dd and I are staying home this coming weekend instead of heading to SC for the next round of tournament play. I'll get to eat normally and weigh in at the doc's office on Friday. Oy!

Holly-Nicole - I am so proud that you are really picking up your excercise, good for you. I know you are going to love your results once they start showing.

Sarah - 10 miles, holy cow that is awesome! Keep on keeping on.

Punkin - glad that you lost that water weight and that you kicked some inches to the curb too.

Yankee - I bet your looking forward to just lazying the days away this weekend, I know I would be if I was as busy as you are. Great job taking care of yourself, even though it's challenging. Isn't it so worth it?

As for me I took 3 days off from excercise. Combination rest and sick days, my knee was acting up a few days ago, I thought it was all better but just now it started bothering me again. No matter, I think it will be fine by tomorrow, I'll take some anti-inflamatory and head off for the gym. I am actually going to do some work on the treadmill tomorrow, walking and jogging, hopefully I can pick up right where I left off but who knows. I'll probably do 30 minutes of cross training also. I hope I can get this all in, I may just wait and do my SI6 when I get home, who knows.

Ok, I will talk to you later. Tomorrow Sarah and I's challenge, the ICES challenge starts up again. If any of you are interested go check out our post in the challenge forum, we both worked hard last month and saw great results.

                    Take care. -Yoly

Yoly - That's an amazing acomplishment. You should be very proud of yourself as we are of you. WELL DONE and keep up the good work.

I've had a number of compliments this week which has made me feel great. I think it was just hormones last week that were making me feel so low and I also see a small difference in the mirror today which is motivating. I'm hoping for a good weigh in tomorrow. I am very sore today due to my Body Combat class from last night but that means it must be doing the trick. After a fast and punishing first half we slowed it right down and did a lot of Tai Chi type moves and some deep breathing and it's incredible how relaxed I feel today. I would recommend exercise to anyone to relieve those everyday stresses and can't believe I didn't start all of this until so recently.

Anyway hope all are having a great week and I'll let you know how the weigh in goes.

                              Yoly - You must be so excited - 50 lbs - that's amazing - I can't even imagine reaching 50 lbs myself.

I'm up to 29 lbs. as of today, my walking is up to 3.2 miles this morning, working on my goal of 5 miles by 10-8. I have to walk 5 miles for a walk-a-thon for Breast Cancer on 10-8 and I've never walked very far before, let along 5 miles. I'm walking now at the mall early in the morning before the stores open. I've been increasing it .2 miles each day and should be at 5 miles just before 10-8. I really think I can do it. Of course walking on the street is going to be a lot different than walking in the mall but I still think I can do it. I've been trying to collect money for the walk-a-thon but most people have been giving for Katrina and aren't interesting in giving for anything else. Of well, my donation will just have to do. I'm still going to Curves M-W-F and walking Tu-Th-Sa-and Su.
