    Well, I'm dooing good looks like everyone elese is doing well too WOOHOOO. I did my 3 iles today tomorrow is weights then Sunday is PSYCHO lady out of the closet 9 miles I WILL do it I know it. YA BABY!!

    Next week some time is weigh day for me and Yoly how freaken exciting it will be awesome to see where we are. it'll either be on tuesday or Saturday depending on Yoly I'm waiting for here I want to do this together.

      Well weigh day is here and sure enough I've had a weight gain week of 5 lbs. My rings are tight and my ankles are swollen so I feel sure it is fluid. I sure hope that whooshie fairy comes to visit me soon. I lost in some places and gained in others with a net loss of .5 inches.

        I was 221.5 today. A loss of 1.75 pounds this week. Not too bad, but I know I will do better this week and hopefully get under 220 and move that ticker down one more notch

          I'm here to admit my downfall.... Friday evening after all the preparations were finished to welcome 900+ elementary school children this Tuesday we decompressed with margaritas and a non-Atkins dinner. I enjoyed all of it - most especially the folks I was with so maybe next time I can enjoy it and not hit the hi-carb stuff - but suffered greatly all night long with horrible muscle cramps from hips to toes. I just don't understand that. But anyway, despite the fall from grace my clothing is still too big and I still feel good and I am back on track. Don't dare step on the scale though!!!

            No doubt at least you didn't make it a week long binge out. You got total body craping basically from your body going into carb overload and having to shift from burning ketones to burning carbs for fuel. It's a big thing for the body to do and is also a big stresser that's why it's not good to go on and off plan cuae it does a HUGE number to the body.

            I would definately stay away from the mscale for about 1 week and Don't do that again. ((WHIP))))((((WHIP))))

            There you've been spanked now on With ATKINS.

            Today is my 9 mile run I am going in a bit here when I know all of my meds have kicked in this morning so that I'm not feeling horrid half way through. EEEK hope I can finish it before 11am we'll se if I start at 8:45 I should be done and I hope my kids don't destroy the place.

              I am back from my daughter's wedding and the mini cruise - and managed to stay on the program - well, except for one margarita in Mexico and a glass of wine with dinner once or twice. I fully expected the scale to say I hadn't gained an ounce, but apparently I did - in fact it says I gained several (3 or so). I think I probably overdid the cheese while gone, but I am really surprised at the apparent gain and hope it is just water retention.

              My problem now is that we came home to a house that had water damage due to a burst washing machine hose ( we are talking all the floors, and some of the drywall), so I have been really having a hard time staving off the emotional eating. I have succumbed a few times, but managed to keep it to legal foods, but more than I should eat - like cheese. And today I dipped into the forbidden Russel Stover .3 carb mint patties. There! I have confessed! maybe now I can get back on track.

                Doris, are those .3 carb mint patties any good??? I've not wanted to pay the exorbitant price but am curious!

                Sarah, thank you for going easy on me! I beat myself up pretty good but just had to get on with it. You're right that going on and off is tough on the body. I'm still feeling the aches in the muscles. Those cramps were unbelievable.

                  Hey Doris Glad you had fum o the cruise. I am sorry aout the lack of letters my kids got 7up i my keyoard so all the letters are't there. I am sure that as you get ack to exercisig ad everythig that you will lose those pouds. Also alcohol has a diaretic effect the first day ut, does cause swellig there after ad uless you ca get it outa there you stay swolle for a while. It will come off soo o worries i that departmet. I am really sorry aout the house flood that has to e horrile. Just kow this you ca come here ad vet whatever you wat ad we will always liste. If you get through these ext few days it will e huge you will have roke the cycle ad I kow you ca do it I kow you ca. Have faith i yourself ad aythig is possile

                  Yakee I uderstad what was goig o ad have ee there efore, I would ever thik to do or say aythig that may hurt someoe. I am proud of you for gettig ack o track it shows your commitmet to do this ad to stickig to it this time. It does't feel good to e crampig. Take this as a learig experiece you leared that you eed to e prepared for aythig.

                    I was down to 220.0 today. I know it's not my saturday weigh in , but i have been trying to get to 220 for the longest time, i am so happy it is finally here, i am going to move my ticker down!

                      wooo hooo Mary!!! That is awesome, congratulations!

                      I started the Slim in 6 program yesterday and I just finished my second day. OMG!!! I hurt absolutly everywhere. My butt hurts while I walk, WALK! It hurts to sit down, stand up, go up the stairs, pick up abi. Everything is so sore. I guess that means it's working though. I'm excited though I haven't felt sore in a long while, so I'm glad I got turned onto this.

                      Just went to the grocery store and I have some fajitas on the grill. Hope everyone is having a nice, healthy, holiday weekend.

                        I know how you feel Yoly I am soo sore from my 9 miler but it's a good sore OUCHY. Maybe if I would have rested today I wouldn't be soooo sore but, Sarah rest HA HA HA!!!

                        Way to go Mary on the 220 I know you ahve been working hard to get there WOOOHOOOO PARTY PARTY PARTY!!! YA, I am sooo excited for you.

                          Yoly, I will have to check this out. I've heard of it but know nothing about it.

                          We welcome the kids back to school today so I was at the gym at 5am trying to get in some exercise. Dd starts back up swimming in the mornings next week which will end my exercise opportunities. The pool is in a rec center in another county and we can't afford the non-resident membership.

                            Ack! Slim in 6 requires 60 minutes of exercise 6 days a week! I greatly admire your committment to this Yoly!

                            There's just no way I can do that. I know exercise is important but at this stage of my life there's not that kind of time - unless I didn't shower or change before moving on to the next thing and NOBODY wants me to do that!

                              OK, I am hanging in there, but just by a thread - I hate the way my house looks, and I really want to eat something I really shouldn't - and whoever asked - the .3 carb mint patties are delicious and I think that is my problem - I really like them! But I KNOW they are not worth derailing my efforts to lose weight!!

                              So-o-o-o, back on the program! The contractor and flooring vendor folks come tomorrow, and if I begin to see some headway, that will help me feel better!

                                Doris - throw the chocolate patties down the garbage disposal. They are poison and very addictive, I should know I was addicted. I can't even have that stuff near me, I know that it says .3 carbs per serving but my portion button must be broken because when I see those things I have to eat them a lot of them. I just don't keep them in the house anymore, keeps me sane. I'm so sorry to hear that your having all these issues with your house, keep with it, it will get better.

                                As for me I just started a new excercise program, Slim in 6. It is really kicking my butt, big time. I am sore in places that I didn't even know I could be sore at. I love it though and am already seeing results even after only 3 days. I can't believe it but am really happy. I also got some awesome workout stuff, I look cute in it and I love wearing it, then I rationalize, well if I'm gonna put it on I might as well workout in it. I hope everyone is doing well.
