That's a good idea, I hadn't thought about telling them I was a diabetic. I plan on sticking with my WOE but I will have to make a few exceptions. I will be in Venice, Italy. There is no way I am going to Venice and not trying some authentic Italian food. This is a long way away though, maybe I'll even be at maintenance by this time, we shall definatly see.

You'll probably be in maintenance. I have a friend who is type 1 diabetic so she has to know. It's like a courtesy for them to tell you at least so you can speak with someone who makes up the stuff it's not an inconvenience to them they wanna make you happy.

My run went really well I have dropped my time down about 21 seconds per mile which is really great I am running at about 13.09 minute miles 2 months ago it was 15 minute miles or more so I gotta say I am trucking.

Way to go on the exercise Mary isn't it rewarding to be sore I love it makes me feel like I did something.

Oh, I have to tell ya I put on my favorite cgrey pants with big pocket GI Jo pantsd and holly crap they are getting lose WOOOHOOOO. I put them on this is after drying them on hot and they went on did up and LOSE I am sooo happy I know I gotta be close to Onderland. Damn it can't weigh but, it's worth it maybe I'll be like 190 when I weigh wouldn't that be cool.

          Hey all

Sarah - Love the new picture. You sure are looking great and no doubt will be in onederland come September 6th.

Yoly - You sound so positive and motivated and I know that you'll be looking and feeling superb on your weigh in day.

Mary - Your exercising like a demon! Keep up all the good work because you have certainly motivated me today and the pounds are sure to melt away.

Well, just a quick check in. Don't know if you all saw my post in the main forum last week but I was awarded my Diploma in Higher Education which I'm thrilled about. It's the equivalent to the first 2 years of a degree and now I can take this forward if I chose to, to study further or I can put it to use in the work place now that its a recognised qualification. I'll let you know what I decide when I have thought about it more.

On the weight lose front, things are still slow but steady. Last friday I weighed in at 214.5 lbs so that’s a new total of 37.5 lbs down...yay! Exercise is ok but as always could do a little more. I'm hoping that all your good vibes rub off on me in the near future. My parents have just asked me if I'd like them to buy me gym membership for an early birthday present. They have been so supportive of my weightloss journey and I am so happy about this generous offer as I can't afford it myself at the moment and think this is just what I need to keep me on the right track and move me to the next level.

Well, it turned out not to be such a quick check in. Spending a week away from the board at a time really frustrates me as I seem to miss so much by the time I return. Anyway peeps, thanks for spending the time reading and I'll look forward to catching up again soon

Congrats on your diploma, that's awesome!!! I know how much work goes into getting a degree, so you should feel very proud!! And that's really cool of your parents to offer to buy you a gym membership. And slow and steady is still progress, congrats, you're doing great!

Way to go on the Diploma I must have missed that I'm sorry that is WONDERFUL news and you lost some more weight that is totally AWESOME I am soooo HAPPY FOR you. A gym membership would be awesome it's sooo great that they are supportive cause it's not that you need the most support. Just think when you get that membership you can get yourself to the gym and that may be what you need to kick your fat loss in high gear wouldn't that be WONDERFULL YAY!!

It's a 4 mile day for me today it'll be so great I'm excited to run just not sure when I will be able to fit it in here. I'm sure very soon. I have to start tracking the milage on my Runners cause I don't know where they are at I might need new runners very soon. I think I will probably get myself some next month just to be safe.

Any how better Boggie have a great day everyone

                      Awesome work sarah!!

I hope you feel better, Yoly. Rest up!

I ate a little more then usual for dinner, just couldn't get satisfied, but then all of a sudden I was really full. Even though I ate slowly and all that. Well anyway, I felt guilty and exercised for 65 minutes of cardio!! That's the longest I've done at one "sitting" in like 3 months. I am beat!!

Great job Mary! I bet your practically melting over there.

I took a rest day yesterday and I slept with a heating pad under my back. This morning I woke up feeling great, I went for my usual 3 miles and finished up strong. I had a few more calories then I usually do today but this is an extra workout day so I feel ok.

I'm planning on taking a rest day tomorrow or if I do something it will be light, maybe some free weights or something. Sunday is my big workout day so I want to be rested and ready for the start of the week. I am really nervous about next week. School is starting up and I'm not sure how my schedule will be, I made room in my week for working out, but I'm actually out there living it I won't be able to tell if it's feasible.

I know I am dedicated and there is no way I am letting go of my program, I'm just apprehensive because it is something new. I'm sure it will be great, just a little nervous. It's also gonna take tons of planning, I have to make a lot of food on Sundays and then I have to pack it the night before (mine and my daughter's). This is the first time I ever do this so it will be a new experience. Wish me luck guys.

Well it's weigh in day - I've lost 4 lbs. this week and 2 1/4 inches - Curves has really started to kick in. I'm really enjoying it and am burning about 480-500 calories in about 35 minutes of workout. I'm amazed at how quick it goes but I sure work up a sweat. But I guess that's because of how much I weigh. I'm only a couple of thousand points away from my bronze medal in the Presidential Challenge. Hope everyone else is doing good with their end of the year challenge. Let's here from everyone

Congratulations, Punkin!! 4 pounds is amazing!! You're doing awesome!

Yoly; I'm sure you'lll continue to do great while at school! I get nervous every time I change my routine, but atkins is so easy to stick to it never turns out to be a problem . Much easier then trying to stick to something like jenny craig, where I had to drag around my food with me whenever I went somewhere. Goodluck you'll do great!!!

Sarah; You continue to amaze me!! I've been trying to jog for like 2 minutes every 10 minutes into my walk, and it is killing me! I can't believe you run for 4 miles straight!! I remember in school, twice a year in gym class we had to run "the mile", and it was such torture!!!! 4 mile runs.. that is awesome!

On to my check in;.. Well I exercised every day this week (although yesterday I only did a little)... And it paid off!! I am down to 225.75!! That's more then 4 pounds since last saturday. And I am officially under 230, I get to change my gif in my signature now.. Woohoo! Happy dance!

You all are doing great. Congrats everyone on such a good week.

Firstly I weighed in on Friday but only lost half pound. Progress is progress though I keep telling myself. Secondly I also had my gym induction on Friday and have been set my workout. It was really good fun and I had a great instructor. I went today for my first full workout and I feel wonderful. I'll be going back tomorrow for an hour and have booked my body combat for the week (mon & wed) and will be gyming it tuesday and thurday. Do you think this sounds a little ambitious? I'm going to see how it goes this week and play it by ear from there as to how my body feels.

Have managed to get on the board a little early this week as I'm staying at my parents for the night and we have a bbq planned for tomorrow. There'll be lots of induction friendly foods so I'm looking forward to it. Will check in if possible. Bye for now and keep up the good work.
