          Re: Size Difference...

I started at a 26/28 in stretch denium screaming at the seams and size 30 t-shirts. Now I'm at a size 24 jean and I'm wearing all the shirts I shrank in the wash. I could probably wear a 20/22 blouse, but I haven't checked lately. There is no longer anything in my closet I can't wear, though there are a few things I don't l still don't like the look of the horizontal stripes on yet. I've lost 68 pounds so far and still going strong!

I was wearing 26 pants and probably a XXXL shirt size. I was down to a 14 pants, but am now wearing 16 pants (will get back into those 14's!), and can wear a L shirt!!!

If I ever wear a single digit size pants I think I will just die

Shirts: XXL now I just bought a couple L that fit tighter than I like (im use to wanting loose clothes)...but they fit fine in others opinions and I am getting use to them.

Pants: 48 ... and I just bought a pair of 38's that fit nice.

                Great thread!!

                18 months and 1 child ago I was in 12/14/lg/xl. 10 weeks ago at my re-start 10/12/lg.

                Today 6/8/S/M.

Small! Me! I hit puberty and went from girl to 10, this is uncharted territory. And more important than all that, is that I can keep up with my kids. Thank you Atkins!
What is it, a RACE? It's coming off, right????

                    Re: Size Difference...

At Christmas this past year I had to go buy a size 22 pants to wear to my husband's Christmas party...that and the 268 lbs on the doctor's scale in December was my wake up call. Today I'm 204 lbs (this morning 201.8 but I can't count it until next tuesday's weigh day) and some 12's some 14's, and L tops. YAY!

I too, just love looking at the tags in my size 12's! YAY! Oh, and I've never been smaller than a 14 since before junior high school!!!! Oh, and when I was a size 14 in high school...I weighed at least 25 lbs LESS than I do right now!!! Gotta love Atkins!

                          Re: Size Difference...

Started out pushing the limits of the maximum plus size stores...some 6x's (36's) were feeling tight in the arms and hips. This was the ultimate fear for me, since next came gigantic moomoo's! Now I am a size 30/32, and before I relapsed, I was starting to fit into some 28's. Now...if I could just take this as seriously as some of you folks do! *sigh

                            Re: Size Difference...

                            This is good motivation!

When I started, I was in ladies 5x (is that 32?) pants and maybe tops, not sure since I was just wearing whatever I could fit into I bought a size 32 business suit for my job interview (only wore once, probably should sell it on ebay now). I have kept a pair of the 5x pants for later bragging and photo shoots Most of the rest, I gave to charity about the time Katrina hit.

Right now, I am down to 22/24 in pants (heading toward 22, though I can wear some of my old 20s) and XXL shirts (can also wear some XL ones yay!). This is the smallest I have been in over ten years, and I am able to wear some "old" t-shirts I never wore because they never fit (aka those tshirts you'd get for free but they only came in XXL or XL).

I'm excited because I now realize I can shop at typical stores now that have a plus section, which is probably good since I don't have alot of old clothes in the sizes I am now needing and I need to go buy some cheap clothes to tide me over.

Isn't it amazing all the progress we've all made?!

                              Re: Size Difference...

In a little over a month, I went from a tight 28 to a very comfy 26. In fact, I joined the board on 6/5/06 and my measurements were 52-55-66.. Today, 7/6/06, I measured in at 48-51-61.. 4 inches off each part of my body! I am happy! Two of my coworkers are starting Atkins and I showed them my progress for motivation.. I even gained a pound or two, thanks to that wonderful time of the month.. I also went down to a size 22/24 in shirts.. This is wonderful!! It's weird, but, I don't 'wish' I was thin anymore.. I am enjoying the high I get from seeing these results and don't mind waiting!!
