I did just fine with the porkskins - 4 oz bag, hard variety, in skinny strips, seasoned with cayenne. They are 50% protein, 50% fat, 160 cal/serving. But the whole bag is only about a cup, bag = 4 servings, and they are very satisfying and take much longer to eat each piece, due to their hardness.

I only at an entire bag once early in induction, after that I naturally was satisfied after 1/4 - 1/2 bag.

I also used homemade jerky from various meats as snacks.

Re: What is your favorite Atkins snack?

There are some great snacks listed here. I hope this helps some newbies who think there isn't anything good to snack on.

I also love the mock danish.

warm 2 oz. cream cheese in microwave, mix with 1-2 scrambled eggs, add 1 paket splenda, and cinnamon to taste. Microwave for 1-2 minutes and enjoy.

I love this when I am tired, don't feel like cooking, and know that I need something to eat so that my blood sugar stays stable.
