    Still Here

    Having a hard go of things. Holding my own weight wise... graveyards just messes me up. MOst days, the only things that even sound like I could attempt to eat them are not exactly atkins friends. Mostly, I can eat soup, so I am trying to devise a way around this. i will be on graves for a while, so I either need to get a stronger stomach, or start making my own soup. Also real hard not to reach for the sugar rush when it is 0-cricket-thirty and I am strugling just to stay awake. Good news is, I am at a .5 lb loss... so I am not botching too bad. Think I am managing to stick at my maintenance level.. I just have to get below that and lose!

    Anyhow... I am off for a nap prior to shift. Just wanted to check in.

      hi team everything is going good. I had a bad week last week..I had a birthday and some birthday cake forced itself on me for 3 days..luckily I threw it away after the 3rd piece in 3 days. been doing good ..my mouth is dry so ketosis must be there..dont think I have lost any since last month but I havent checked inches yet..
      oh and I met a guy I think I am falling for him . I feel absolutely euphoric and giddy :yes

        Hello Sexy Sixers!! Well, spring is in the air. I've been outside walking and enjoying as much sun-shine as I can. It was cold yesterday.

        I haven't lost any weight this past month. I'm still holding steady at 184. I am hoping that will change by the time I report in on May 11th. But...I have lost some inches. Whooopppeee!!

        Weight: 184
        inches: -4 1/2

        So upping my exercise did help. I've also had some stressful days and I was reading that stress can hold your weight too. So, I'm going to try to add more relaxing music and fragrances in my life as I can't eliminate the stress just yet. In fact, I think my whole summer will be packed with too much to do and too little time. But, I'm not going to take things too seriously. One thing I've learned is that: We are not all superhumans. We have 24 hours to do what we can and we MUST take at least 1 hour of that time to exercise and pamper ourselves.

        I'm also going to be practicing the art of DELEGATION more in my work. It is sometimes easier to just do it yourself and get it done right, but I think by delegating the work, I am helping others achieve a sense of worth and learning.

        Ok, I know I am babbling. Sorry. Have a wonderful ATKINS week!!

          I hate to report this but I am up 1 pounds, to 198. Iam fighting a virus and I have been gargling with salt water and also shooting salt water up my nose. I am hoping this is the reason my weight is up a bit.

          My measurements are the same from last month. So I am not much help to our team. I will try to do better this month.

                Becky Sue so sorry to hear you are ill. I'm sure the weight gain is salt. Salt has always been evil in my life. I used to swell up all the time when I used to be addicted to it. Since I've quit using it, I haven't had one bit of swelling. Once you are better -- I'm sure that water that is being retained will go away and you'll resume your normal weight.

                So far this has been a good week for me. I have my new walking partner and she hasn't pooped out on my yet, so maybe..... we will see. Walking and talking to someone is so much more fun than going it by yourself...so I am really hoping she sticks around.

                Well, hope everyone is having a fantastic week!! Can't wait to hear our results from our weight/measure from April 11th!!

                  I think I want to change my weight report. This morning I was 196. This makes me a 1 pound loss. I knew the gain had to be water and sure nuff it was.

                  My virus/crud, whatever I have still has a good hold on me. I just hope it goes away real soon.

                        • Well, Sexy Sixers...it finally happened. Its been two months since I lost any weight, and I finally dropped another pound this weekend. WHOOPPEE. I know I lost 4 inches last month, so I wasn't too concerned, but is so nice to see the scale move again.

                          I'm up to 4 miles a day again. Two in the morning and two in the evening. My walking partner got a blister on her foot and is taking a few days off, so I'm walking solo again - but loving it. I take my music in the morning and listen to it, then in the evening I use it as a meditation time to relax and get my thoughts organized.

                          • Hi guys, sheesh, I'm so sorry I forgot to check in. My measurements are the same, maybe half an inch, but I'll say the same, but I lost five pounds. I was 193 exactly. I was a bit surprised since in the last month I added both nuts and berries to my OWL. I was also pretty sick with the flu for a bit and wasn't able exercise as much. Hang in there everyone, we can do it!
