  • Oh my!! Isabeau!!! Swimming suits :yikes

    I do have a neat thing to report.
    This morning I decided to try on some clothes I bought for a class reunion that is about 20 days from now. A pair of jeans capri pants were to big. So I loaded them up and headed to guymon and went to Stage and exchanged them for a smaller size. I changed a size 14 for a size 12. These are capris with a waist band and button/zipper, can you believe I can wear a size 12. Who would believe at 194 that a size 12 would fit me.

    This summer I am under 200 lbs and the last time I was under 200 lbs was in 1972. WOW, 33 years ago. I never want to be back in the 200's again. I will plan for success and I will never be in TWOterville again.

    • Well, I've given it a lot of thought and I am going to attempt OWL. It is such a scary thought. I haven't lost any weight in over two months and I've heard of others who said once they started OWL, they boosted their bodies into losing again.

      If I start gaining, I will hurry back to induction. I am really worried because I am still having problems and unable to exercise. I haven't gained any weight, but I haven't lost any either.

      Wish me luck, please. I've studied what to do and I am ready to give it a try.

      • Wow, that's awesome Becky Sue! You're gonna wow em at your reunion. I was scared to move to OWL too. I'm doing a modified owl in that I stay between 20 and 30 net carbs a day. I'll be staying on the berry rung for a long time. I'm still losing and love the variety, even though I wasn't bored on induction!

        • Good luck to you, Dream(Becky)! I have a good feeling that you moving slowly into OWL will get you back into the losing game again.

          Keep us posted on how OWL is going. We are all interested.

          • Well, I've been on OWL for a few days now and so far I'm still yo-yoing up and down. I go from 183-184-185 and then back down to 184-183!! Very frustrating. I am still having female problems and not able to swim or walk. Double frustrating. I might go back on induction this week if I don't get a whoosh. Everyone I've talked to had a whoosh after the first week on OWL. This might be a sign that my body is not ready for the next step.

            • Wow, I thought I'd check in and I find that nobody has written anything since I last posted on the 2nd. Well, just wanted to update you on my OWL. I am going back to induction. I have increased my carbs by 5 off and on this week and gained 3 lbs. I feel fat and horrible.

              Maybe I am just to stay on induction longer. I really thought that over a year on induction would be enough, but apparently OWL doesn't agree with me. So, it is back to induction.

              HOpe everyone is doing really good. Miss hearing how everyone is doing.

              • Hi everyone. We all must be busy! I'm doing good. Guess our final weigh in is coming up! I've started running again and for the first time outside. Wow, what a difference. I live in the country in a very hilly area. Great training, but boy do I feel it compared to the treadmill, even with an incline. I'm also doing a 10K run training program Just finished my second session this morning, at 6:30 am even! **** has frozen over!

                Looks like induction agrees with you dream. I was so scared of moving to OWL. Luckily I'm still losing at about the same rate as I had on induction. Mind you, I'm doing a kind of OWL-duction. I don't go over 25 carbs and I'm not trying any foods higher than the berry rung. I'm actually quite content here. I haven't bothered to find out my CCL yet. Guess I should do that soon.

                • Still here, believe it or not

                  I am still here, still on atkins, and going to read backwards to catch up with the posts.

                  Things got very scary with my ex, so we packed up and took off, and are now at my folks. Sorry to drop off the radar for two months... I hope I can still play? I needed to not be online and what not, his ex-girlfriend was playing web tracker again, and "following' me via my email stuff.. Since I was using his computer, she had all my info.

                  So,, we are starting over, and crashing with mom and dad for a short time, and hoping my ex gets help for the anger stuff, and then we can talk about resuming contact and such.

                  Oh well... that is where I am at in a nutshell.. WIll head to the Y tonight to get a weight to post, if I am still able

                  • Well, my scales finally moved. I was thrilled this morning when after a 4 month stall....I dropped a pound. I know I've lost a few inches here and there and I gained some inches last month, so was feeling pretty low. But, today made up for it. 182 pounds, the lowest so far for me.

                      • WOW!! I am amazed..I got on the scale at the YMCA and it said 250.. and then the attendant said that it is 4 pounds heavy, the tech is coming to balance it out next week.. Somehow over the last couple months, even with my not so great sticking with it, I lost. Now I just have to sigh and think, had I been eating clean and exercising daily.. sigh.

                        My stomach is still yucky, still hard to think about eating a lot of things, and alltoo tempting to eat other "easy food".. but apparently trying to eat well had results, even if I fell out of plan often. So, if we are posting in July, that will be interesting.
