    Goals
    Make goals for what you will accomplish this week. Be realistic, make them attainable. Challenge yourself, but don’t set yourself up for failure by promising more than you know you can do. When I started out I was doing 2MPH for 20 minutes and thought I was Rocky on top of those steps. Now I'm in much better shape and can do much more much faster so if I posted I was doing that now I hope y'all would kick my butt for being an exercise slug.

    What activitiy would you like to try now that you are getting in better shape that you haven't been doing?

      I really miss my treadmilling time with this ankle injury. I can do the BFL as all upperbody so that isn't a factor but the HITT and the cardio not being there are a real bummer. Had to drastically lower my carbs too

        I can't make an exercise goal this week because I'm having two liver biopsies tomorrow and they told me I'll have limited activity for a couple days and to not do anything strenuous for about a week. I met my goal last week and drank all my water every day. So Monday of next week, I'll post my exercise goal again.

        Extra credit: I want to get into Yoga. They offer a class at my YMCA and I'm going to check into it, but I'm not sure I'm quite ready for that yet.

            I did not make my goal this week.

            My new goal for this week is to go to Curves 3 times plus 1 day of walking or exercise video.

            Extra Credit - I'd like to try golfing. I had tried before, but I struggled to get a good swing. I always felt like my stomach and chest got in the way.
            Originally Started May 29, 2003 and lost 96 pounds. Fell off the wagon and gained over 100 pounds back. DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!

              What's your biggest fear when it comes to exercise? How realistic is this fear?
              My biggest fear is that I will fail.
              I know if I let myself I will fail but i am dedicated to this and I took the first step today. i walked the track at the high school by myself, I normally have a friend with me. So I know I can do it.

                I made my exercise goal this week.
                Craft room painted,
                Guest/craft room cleaned out and now just a guest room
                Front garden weeded, turned, and planted
                Tomato plants planted
                Hanging baskets planted

                Next week pledge:
                Paint window's and baseboards in craft room
                Move and sort all my craft stuff into craft room
                Weed, turn and plant corner garden
                Company for weekend so at least one long walk and lots of shopping

                I'll be away M,T,W so I will be very late checking in next week.

                  Sorry I have not posted in awile! It is time for school to be out for the summer...that will create some extra free time!

                  Anyhow, I have been doing wonderful with my exercise! I have not missed a day in weeks! It feels sooooo good. I actually told someone the other day that I now love exercise....how did I go soooo long without it?
                  I alternate my aerobic workout between the elliptical machine, biking, and walking/jogging! Yes! I finally have met my goal to be able to jog/run again! It feels good. In addition to the aerobic activity I lift weights 3X per week!

                  Hmmmm? The activity that I would like to pursue now that I am close to 100 lbs. lighter would be roller blading.

                  Keep up the great work everyone!

                    To attend a pilates class and an aerobics class and walk the treadmill at least 3 other days of the week.

                    What's your biggest fear when it comes to exercise? How realistic is this fear?
                    My biggest fear is just not doing it - and talking myself out of it before I really get going. Realistically, I am committed to the two classes, but the Treadmill is the tough one.

                      Sorry I am late 2 big I almost forgot. I did not exercise 1 day I was supposed top last week. The day of graduation I was too nuts.
                      This week I will change to swimming some of the days. I also will add something for the abs at least 3 days a week.

                        I know 2big is not here for a while but I think she would want us to keep this going.
                        I made my exercise goal last week plus 2 days did 1.5 miles!!
                        I will walk 1.5 miles 5 times this week.

                          I need some serious help. I need to lose weight badly, I am very depressed about my size and when I look in the mirror I feel sick. I don't know where to start what to buy what foods I can and cannot eat. I am 255lbs. and my goal weight I is 150lbs or 145lbs. I am 5'6 and I am tooooo. ........... big. Can some one help!!!!!!!!!!!

                            welcome to the CC forum. start working out and buy Dr Atkins New Diet revolutioon 2002 edition are two great places to start.
