Hey everyone,
I'm from Estonia, Europe.
Started yesterday and have met no problems yet. Meat and vegetables are available, even eating out is not impossible. Tried weightwatchers before and it was much more complicated, as "fat-free" lifestyle hast arrived yet to the stores.
I still quess it will be a problem to tell my friends and parents - Atkins Diet is considered really dangerous...
Harder part is counting and measuring with fitday, as we use metric system here, and I haven't find alternative to fitday yet.

I live in the city of lights, and the great part about it for Atkins is the cheese! also, great hams, sausage, and fresh produce.

Very challenging to avoid the desserts, which are completely off-limits.
I don't have a mixer here, so SF jello and pudding are about as much as I can swing myself.

Greeting from the cold up-north: Norway!
We're doing a kind of pioneer work, the people who are doing Atkins here in Norway. There are no low-carb food to be bought anywhere, we use our imagination to the full creating wonderfull low carb meals. We have joined forces on the internet here in Norway, and we're a fine bunch of people giving each other support and swopping ideas.

All of us seem to be experiencing the same thing; that its really hard to do the diet here much due to the very negative way the newspapers have written about the diet. People know little about it besides what wrong information the media has brought about. So there is little support to get from our surroundings (except closest family).

But we're keeping it up! Personally Ive been on the diet for about 8 weeks know and feel that its the easyist way ever to loose weight! in that time I have lost about 11 kg. I have a long way yet to go, but I'm staying in there!

I'm from Denmark....haven't seen anyone else from my country. Atkins isn't big in Denmark....not even the health food shops have low-carb bread...
But I did find flaxmeal today....Yeah..... it's a miracle.
We don't even have that many sugar-free products over here... So I'll stick to the induction list!

I am a Canadian living in Saudi Arabia. I am really enjoying the Atkins diet here how ever it is really a challenge to find some of the products I need to complete some of the recipes out there. But this won't detour me!!! I am determined to do this for me and my family.

Greetings from the Cayman Islands (Grand Cayman to be exact). Atkins products are slowly being sold in the market here, but WAY too expensive...... I wish I had someone on the island to share my thoughts with. Most people here cannot imagine that I can lose weight eatign this way.........I give up tryign to explain.......It would be great to meet other people on the island, and also from teh caribbean area.

Hi Afil.

I am from Jamaica and I was in the Cayman Islands last year. Everything Atkins was expensive but I guess good for a treat. It is really hard for us as well because of our cultural diet. It is so hard to ignore the rice, bammy, dumplings and of course the fruit. It is also hard to tell people that you do not want lemonade.

But do not give up at all. You will see the results and then get to laugh all the way to the clothes store.

I am from Leeds, England, but live in Texas.
It true what they say "Everythings bigger in Texas". I gained so much weight when I came to live here. I also discovered Atkins here, so now Im getting to be one of the smaller things in Texas.
We are very lucky living here, there is everything available for the low carber.
