Big girl in the land of the little people! Thais aren't shy to tell you you're fat either, and then they start giggling afterwards. All in good fun though!

I live in the UK for about 7 months of the year & France for the remaining 5. Eating out will be fine in France but I'll be taking a few things with me with me from the UK when I go in 3 weeks time. However I may have some problems reading the food labels as my french isn't too hot, but the main thing I'll miss is this BB as we don't have a computer in France (Don't even have a phone in our house!) So part of my exercise routine will be walking to the phone box in the nearest village to ring the kids back in the UK. You never know I may be able to jog there by the end of the summer.-- I WILL be able to jog there by the end of the summer.

I've just joined the board from Taiwan. The biggest hurdle? Starting! Actually I'll be starting the WOE on March 29, and know some of my hurdles will be chocolate and snack foods. I can get most of what I need here, but I would dearly love to be able to purchase some great shaved ham or turkey...like the folks in the states get in any major supermarket deli. Another big hurdle will be when I go to the states for the summer and am greeted by the magnificent smells of Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, etc. The smells of food cooking in Taiwan are just sometimes downright unpleasant! Stinky tofu, anybody?

            Hello :wave I'm in Jordan....
A "transplant" from the Upper Midwest.....no Atkins books or special "products" here....so we're going "cold turkey"....the information on the Atkins site is valuable and so are the wonderful "helpers" on these boards!

                Tamariah and everyone else,
I also live in a county with no atkins products (Japan) but it is not a hurdle!! It is a BLESSING!!! We are so lucky not to have those temptations that they have in america, look at all the posts of people being stalled and having problems, we will be eating all healthy and natural foods....and not those proccessed chemically enhanced "convience" foods! :icondance

                      Elizellen here!
This thread was started before I noticed the long list of forums and discovered the International forum or I would have responded earlier!
I live in Bournemouth on the south coast of England
Although we have a good 'lowcarb' shop locally I havent tried any Atkins-type bars etc - too expensive for me - for which I am grateful!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Hello everyone! I am from Serbia and Montenegro,I study in Belgrade but I am from a smaller town on the north of the country! Atkins is not popular here at all, and I still, after two and a half months get *the look* from my friends as in *isn't it unhealthy* or *don't you get sick from all tha fat* but I will stay strong, b/c the only fat I am really sick of is the one I carry around on my hips lol :yes
So, no Atkins products anywhere near here, but maybe that is for the best! No temptations at all! I know what I can have and that is it!
So, everyone, keep up the good work, and keep looosing!
                            Milica

mini goal 2: 158 - this is where my BMI starts being normal

GOAL 1: 145 - this is the weight I will be happy with! Then, I'll take it slowly from there...
GOAL 2: 130ish? I first set my goal at 118, but realized it might be just a bit low...
