      Re: Bits of Bios

Don't know a publisher! But all of these bios should be published. I've just read through all of these bios and I feel connected to so many of you just because of our Atkins experiences.

I'm 47 with 4 children 24, 22, 17, 14. The oldest 2 got married last year and are both in their first trimester of pregnancy, now. guess they like to to things together. My 17 year old is a senior, and also a girl. We have that whole senior year thing going with her $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ needs. My 14 year old is an 8th grade boy-he's the sweetest boy I know.

I've been married for 26 years. I'm a nurse, but work in hospital administration, now. I just went back to work full time in June after working part time for most of the past 20 years.

I'm also a preacher's wife, but may not fit the mold that many people try to melt me into. (I don't play the piano, don't sing in the choir, and don't make delicious casseroles). There is a lot of love to give to a lot of people who need love--that's my ministry... Whoever needs me, gets me.

I did Atkins beginning in Aug of 2003 with my dh. We both lost a lot. He fizzled out and gained it back. I lost about 70 pounds by the following spring and kept most of it off for over a year.

I rediscovered stress eating during 2005 (I'll save you the gory details) and went back over 200 pounds before I came back to Atkins, and found you. This re-entry is going well so far.

Right now, I'm experiencing a, not so infrequent bout of insomnia, and instead of eating, am reading here.

Can't wait to get to know you all better.

        Nice to meet you Didy!

ROTFLMAO!! That's toooo funny! The older I get and the more people I meet it becomes more and more clear that stereotyping people does not do justice to those we meet, and, besides, it's so much more fun to delve deeper into who people are. There are always a few pleasant surprises you don't expect!

          Re: Bits of Bios

          My name is Hanne, I'm 24....almost 25.....uuuhhh...

This is my second time doing Atkins, last time I lost more than 65 pounds in a little more than a year! I went off Atkins and gained more than half of it back....(stupid, stupid, stupid). Now I'm back, in my 6th day and I have lost 3 pounds so far!

I'm from Denmark....the little country above Germany and below Norway and Sweden on the map. Lucky me we don't have any Atkins stuff in the stores except from the bars and the shake-mix (which is YUCK)....

I'm my moms only daughter, but my dad has to other girls with wife number 2...I consider them my sisters even if I don't see them too often!
I live very close to my mom and work the same place as her, so I se her all the time.

Last year, early summer, I met my boyfriend who is very very supportive of me....I love him a lot!

I have attended Business College, have been to design school, spent 8 months in England, started studying literature at university, quit after 1 year, and now I'm 1 year away from being an Occupational Therapist. Besides school, I have 2 jobs, one is 15 hours a week, and the other is about 4 hours a week. So I'm very very busy!

Hobbys are; (when I have time) watching tv, reading (Stephen King, Anne Rice....), painting, cooking, sex (did I just say that out loud...LOL) and my computer....(I play games, visit boards and everything else... especially shopping....I love shopping online).

I love the ADBB....this is the only place where I can make ay mistake I want, (almost....and mostly Atkins related) and people still forgive me and help me to move on!

I guess that was it for me.....Great to read all your stories...
