  • STRICT Induction Thread

Okay, I've lost track of how many days it's been.

So here's a thread to last us for a while, how's that? The rules:

Everyone must post every day about their progress, accomplishments and fears/slips!

    Um, that's it. ;-)

    Re: STRICT Induction Thread

Okay, so for me, today was:

SUCKY IN ALL POSSIBLE WAYS except food! go me! I was so close to caving since my second computer started acting like the one yesterday was acting before it died. So I was freaking out completely and I was so stressed out. Seriously losing my mind.

    But, I made it!

I wish I could get well again so that I could start exercising. I might start walking at least - it's just that I'm soooo tired. I can hardly walk up a flight of stairs right now. Stupid sinus infections!

    How'd everyone else do Wed?

Yesterday was cool. Only I've got a stinkin cold and was knocking back cough meds like no-one's business. Felt a bit trippy all afternoon and then I read the label. It had SUGAR in it.
It's soooooooooooo unfair, manufacturer's should be forced to put it on big letters on the outside so idiots like me don't have to read the small print!

Hope you both feel better! Great job staying strong through the stress Knick!

Wednesday was good for me as well. I ate properly, drank my water and got exercise in! I'm not feeling tired or anything, but extra hungry today!

Ah, sugar in cough medicine - gotta love that. You need to look for the robitussin one that specifically says sugar free. Otherwise it's bad news...

glad to hear everyone is doing well!

Checking in, and doing good on my end. My appetite has left me for the most part although I still had thought of something sweet to eat. I didnt act on it even when baking 100 oatmeal cookies for work today. Exercise and supps and water are all in sync.

Sorry to hear about the colds. My whole family has had them this past week and I walk around the house spraying lysol and washing my hands. I dont want it! Hope you both feel better real soon!

I'm jumping in here. I hope I can make it. I'll start on tomorrow, though. I was doing Extended-Induction, but had a bad couple of weeks. I need to Re-Induct and get my metabolism in gear.

                welcome pumpkin!

How'd everyone do today? I did well, although I got sick of eating the same food. So, I ate different food! haha.

                brats for breakfast
ground lamb with green beans for lunch
ham, cheese for dinner. with a pickle.

i'm about to eat a salad with blue cheese dressing on it too.

i drank about a gallon of water when i woke up. Also, i lost 2 pounds! (1.5 of those i'd gained on day 2 of induction, but whatever!)

                    Welcome to Strict Induction Pumpkin!!

Terry, girl you have willpower! I have to avoid even smelling cookies.

Knick - great job on the loss!

Well, did good on Thursday. Ate well, drank lots and got my exercise in!!! Today is day five. I don't think I'm feeling quite as hungry as I have been. Thank god! I felt like I was going to eat us out of house and home!

I have my plan in place for today. Legal foods, lots of water on hand. Its raining here in Michigan today, but I will do exercise inside this evening if it doesn't clear up. May do exercise inside anyway after last nights events (see yesterday's exercise thread where I posted re: weird stalker guy.)

Hope everyone has a great day!!!!

Well, it's a small miracle. I got TOM today and I had no cravings all week and even lost weight! Although, that 1.5 pound gain was probably from that.

                      but, either way, yay!

Today's been good so far, i haven't eaten enough though. Need to do something about that.

Day 6 for me and I can tell ketosis is deeply in place. Got the mouth taste and lack of appetite to show for it.

I do have to make myself eat though. This is a problem I had and would go forever without eating and then get sick and eat then eat some more. This time around I am making myself eat even if it is just a few olives or slices of pepperoni no longer than 3 hour intervals. My supplements, water and exercise are all going well too.

Feels good to begin to feel good again. I want myself back!

                          Re: STRICT Induction Thread

Okay, I've already fallen and I've barely started.

I ate (mindlessly) 4 sugar-free chocolate turtles today. Someone brought in frickin' Dunkin Donuts and sat the whole box in the kitchenette, which is right beside my cubicle!! Man, those donuts were callin' my name!! I almost caved a couple of times (and I was only at work a half day!).

My solution: I remembered I had 4 turtles left hidden in my drawer (Nestle's brand). They are my one chocolate weakness and I try not to have them more than once, tops twice a week (3 is a serving, net 1 carb). I caved big time for my turtles, but I was able to ignore the donuts.

Of course, AFTER, I remember that I wasn't supposed to have them because I just re-started STRICT Induction!

Otherwise, my day was ok. I didn't have breakfast because I was fasting for a doctor's appt. Good lunch; good, but late dinner. Okay, my day wasn't great, huh ? I did exercise for an hour and 40 minutes!!

Tomorrow is a new day - Day one - AGAIN!!

                            Hi Everyone!

I didn't eat enough food today. i had a hamburger patty with a spinach and bacon salad with blue cheese dressing, and a bowl of lamb with green beans. I am not feeling well today (TOM) although I started off the day okay.

Tomorrow is a new day though! Hopefully I won't have damaged my progress, but I doubt it.

Pumpkin...... You could have done worse and had the donuts but this is strict induction so you are doing the right thing and getting back to it and starting over.

Knick, my downfall recently was not eating. This is my goal now to be sure to eat all the time. I just graze and really do feel so much better for it. TOM is just leaving me and this time he completely wiped me out. I slept for almost 12 hours last night and feel better this morning than I have in 2 weeks. I doubt you ruined your progress. Pamper yourself thru TOM.

Im about to find something for breakfast and get my cooking done for the week. Will get a walk in today and water is already poured.
