Re: Desserthorns' 2 Week Clean Induction chal.

Hi all! Think tonight ends up the 2 week clean induction for me 3/29-4/11. I lost 4 pounds in all during this time, which is the same I lost in my first two week induction when I came back. Guess it is my number. Now my big thing is whether to move or or stick with induction longer.

How has everyone else fared over the 2 weeks?

Hi - had problems getting on the site for the last two evenings but am back this morning Day 12 for me -
      Yesterday was good -
      4 rashers bacon for breakfast
Full bag king prawn with cheese and mayonaise
Another bag of prawns and tin salmon
      Edam cheese snack

Hopefully I'll speak to you all again tonight. First time I've done this-what happens when we reach 14 days?

Re: Desserthorns' 2 Week Clean Induction chal.

Congrats to all you successful clean induction people.

It was so-o-o-o close, last day for me an I went and #^%#&@# $%^X!! BLEW IT on 6 hush puppies!
All because they were a hot special surprize for my son from the seafood store. He loved them - or so I thought - and refused to eat them when I got them to the car. That did it.

Now those few ounces (approx. 50 frankenGrams) have turned into an ugly surprize pound on the scale. 207.
Guess I'll start again today. Fortunately I resisted the craving to hunt down more frankenfoods which hit me soon after eating them. With any luck ketosis will not have stopped enough to get induction flu today. I'll up the abs.

Re: Desserthorns' 2 Week Clean Induction chal.

First time I am doing this kind of challenge also. I am willing to go another 2 weeks though if anyone else is. Kinda of nice to be accountable for what we are doing. With Easter it will definately help keep me on the straight and narrow. So count me in. Gonna use today as my first day (4/13). Will check in later with my menu for today.

Boonie - don't stress over the hush puppies. They are the past, let's just move on to the next 2 weeks of induction. Did you lose 8 lbs as Canibe stated, that is great.

Canibe- I don't see where you have posted your loss, are you waiting til tomorrow for the last day to weigh? Let us know how you did or maybe just roll into the new two weeks today with us.

Deserthorn, Rockin, Jimen, Morgan, Becca how are you all doing? Now that the board is back up maybe you can get back to posting.

I'm in for a repeat... Easter Eggs (hard boiled variety) are allowed; so are Green Eggs -n- Ham. So is hopping around to hide the eggs. So is Bunny stew. Chicks and ducklings might add variety; but not too sure about the basket grass. Other wabbit food is ok though (except cawwots!)

The hush puppies are now a thing in the past. Back to 206...

Oddest breakfast yet: Baby octopus, Littleneck clams and Oyster mushrooms, simmered with butter & olive oil in the octopus juice with cayenne, a dash each of smoke flavor and apple cider vinegar, salt, black pepper and 2 T lemon juice
Pretty good!!! Cole slaw on the side (NO hush puppies!!!)

Canibe - I have to drink my water at room temperature also. Find it easier to tolerate, when I fill my bottle out of the frig dispenser I actually sit with the bottle between my legs to warm it up some (just like my baby bottle days). Congrats on that 5 lbs.!

Boonie- My ll year old would love to have shared that breakfast with you. Those are the kind of things she loves to try.

Breakfast - 3 eggs topped with sauteed onions and mushrooms.
Lunch - Bowl of cauliflower left from last night.
Dinner (to be) Can of tuna mixed with egg, onion and mayo over lettuce.

Happy Easter all, I will be heading out for the weekend so won't be posting until late Sunday or Monday.

Atkind - you are lucky - my 11-yr-old has a Ve-e-e-ry limited range of acceptance from the menu. It has led to my demise induction-wise yet again. (He goes for McD's chicken nuggets, but refused the less expensive breast chicken tenders from the grocery store...)- oops - they were breaded, and guess who ate them. En Masse.

Had a very miserable night on top of that - when will I learn?
Back to square one here- I won't even bother to tell you the damage, because I woke up to guzzle water about every 30 minutes last night due to the carb load plus salt - and am now bloated. Plus back hurts and tired and have to work(?).... so much for my whining. I'll be VERY good today. Maybe turkey ham in a few hours, and some leaves.

Boonie~ I always prefered those cheaper McD's nuggets like your son. Makes me think back to when my siblings and I would get upset when my mom bought real ham, we always wanted chopped ham. Lord, what were we thinking.

Wish I hadn't cheated with those breast tenders. Now I've got to make it through the cravings, and wouldn't you know, the co-workers thing after any holiday is to bring all their "extra" desserts and candies to the office breakroom for "disposal". (Had to pass by it all to get to my turkey)

Good thing I had brought hard boiled Easter eggs too!
Just help me remember how awful that other stuff is!!!

Sorry to hear everyone has had problems this holiday - but its nice to know because so have I! Am going to take a couple of days and get my head in gear again - at least Ive confirmed I have an allergy to carbs stuff - my ankles have swollen again and I feel rough - am taking off the pressure of doing the fourteen day thing or I'll just get down and miserable - better to start again and see how I go. Its the nibbles thats killing me - too much stuff lying around - it should all be gone in a couple of days and the kids are back at school in a week - I love it but its easier to diet in the routine than when youre out and about on trips and days out. Planning is good but the temptations is still there and the feeling that you're missing out somewhere along the way on the fun. So I'm not giving up just taking a small break - at least this site gives me someone to witter on to - I get support at home but its still hard - at least I can moan here and you can all just skip the box if you want to!! Role on the summer holdays!!Arghhhhhhh!
