  • Re-Starting,Clean Induction,No Coffee.....

    I will do this right this time! I have decided to drop my habit of one cup of coffee each morning. I will not cheat/binge anymore. I will not be a slave to food anymore. I will do this for ME! I am worth it and I know I can achieve my goal with dedication.

    NO MORE CHEATING..... I PROMISE MYSELF!

    I have done good so far this morning.... Please pray for my success!!

          I already posted in my journal, but thought I would update here as well. I am taking others' advice from this site and preparing foods and dishes ahead of time so that I don't get caught without something to eat. Also, I printed several recipes too. They all look terrific. I think I was getting bored with my food choices and then would just start eating the junk. I intend to try new recipes and keep them made up. As I stated in my journal, I went to the grocery store and stocked up on necessary items such as cheese, heavy cream, bacon, sausage, and cream cheese. I already tried one new recipe..."The Mock Oatmeal" it was really good and satisfying, however, very interesting to look at!

          Also, I am going to make sure and get more fat in through out the day to help with those horrible cravings.

              I am so glad you read my thread! I am actually following YOUR lead! I think you are terrific. I read your stuff all the time. I love your sites for recipes. I made the "Early Rise Breakfast" this morning. I definitely will have enough left over. You have great ideas. And, you like to keep it simple.

              I am really pumped up about these recipes. I, NOW, know that there is NO way to get bored eating this way. You just have to think ahead and plan.

                I actually scrolled up and down 5 times (i counted) to make sure you were really talking to ME!! I finally convinced myself because you put my quote in... you are so sweet! made me feel all warm and fuzzy and proud . thanks for the vote of confidence

                yeah, i kinda gotta keep it simple, i know if i make it too complicated I'll use it as an excuse to cheat: "oh, i dont have time to cook, or it's such a hassle, maybe I just should grab a bar and go" or "I have to drop the diet for a while, I just dont have time".
                i neeeeeeeeed the microwave! if i dont have pre-made stuff im asking for trouble!

                how's your excercise going? I'm all bummed because my pool is closed, and the other one is waaaaaaaay far away...

                    I'll say that i still drink coffee, but my weight loss is very slow this time around (first time was about 2x as fast). I doubt it smy coffee though. Is this your first time around on atkins?

                      Here's how I drink coffee, if I do, which I don't most days. I get a cup of coffee with two teaspoons half & half and one splenda. Then I fill up my 20 oz bottle of water. For every sip of coffee I take a gulp of water. By the time i'm done with the coffee I've drank that bottle of water too. And the race to the potty is on!!!! lol

                        Hi Barb,

                        It's going great! I am so on track. I have cooked up a couple of really good recipes today. I feel so much better now that I have some different types of foods to eat and the fact that they are soooooo satisfying. I cooked the "early rise breakfast" and the "salmon muffins" today.

                            That is exactly how I feel! I made the "Salmon Muffins" and the "Early Rise Breakfast" today. Salmon Muffins were great. I haven't tried the other one yet. I decided to wait and have it for breakfast in the morning, however, it looks yummy!

                            I took a break from my exercise (just a week) Since I started this "CLEAN INDUCTION" on Thursday I decided I would start my work out program again on Sunday. This way I would have a few days to get back into Ketosis and the first few days of feeling a little off would be over by Saturday, therefore, Sunday I would feel like starting to "sweat" again. Does that make sense?
                            I know I should exercise no matter what, but with me I had to literally find my mind so that I could get back on track. LOL

                            By the way, I think it's funny you weren't sure that I was talking about you. Well, just believe it and I meant what I said, "You are a great leader!" Keep it up.

                              Hey. Sometimes a break from the exercise routine is a good thing, so don't feel too bad about that. The body just needs a rest sometimes!!
