    Hi Rationalbeing!

Well, I just re-started Induction for the 3rd time. My weight loss has been decent even with a cup of coffee every morning, but my problem is that I like it to be very creamy and I use 2 - 3 packets of splenda. So with that in mind, I had to really watch what I ate the rest of the day so that I would not exceed the 20 grams of carbs. I decided to drop the coffee so that I could really eat more good healthy carbs during the course of the day and, b/c, I am trying to be healthier.

Good luck to you and thanks for reading!

      Hi Choeve,

Sounds like a good idea! And, you are getting some exercise in too! I will remember this if I do, later on, decide to have a cup of coffee.

      Thanks for reading!

        Hi Barb!

That pizza DOES look good! I will have to get a glass baking dish first. I only have the metal kind.

        Thanks Alot!

          hey kelly
I dont see why metal wouldn't work... you could give it a try!

you make me blush girl! thanks!

yeah, about the excercise... last time around, I didnt do aaaaaaaaaaaaany excercise. at all baaaaaaaaad baby. I've never done any kind of excercise in my life ever. this time around, I started exercising not because of the diet, but because I had a health scare. I think that changed my perspective. also, I tried a very different form of execrise, and swimming really was a fit, I love not sweating... and it made me extra proud: I went from not knowing how to swim to simming 2.5Km in about 2 months. lots of instant gratification!

sooooooooooo, I can understand about the lack of excercise. it's not a good idea to go without, but it's gotta work on your own terms. I think if it works for you to take a few days, then it's a great idea. I'm glad you have a clear plan and I hope you feel great when you start exercising again.

you sound very exited about the diet and your goals! that sounds great!

            Hey My Friend!

I know it is not good to stop exercising, but I am ready to get back in gear tomorrow. And, I am very excited this time around, b/c, I have new foods to keep me interested and not bored. Easy ones, Thanks to you.

My husband and our 2 little kids went to the lake today. This is something we are going to start doing every weekend, if the weather permits. And, they have this area that is roped off and I am going to start swimming myself just to break up the routine in my exercise program. We really enjoyed ourselves to day.

Anyway, I'll talk to you later. Have a nice weekend!

              Re: Re-Starting,Clean Induction,No Coffee.....

I have been a cooking machine this weekend. I have made up enough casseroles and quiches to last me over the next couple of weeks. I feel really empowerd and in control by doing this.

This time around I have NOT set myself up for failure.
I have set myself up for SUCCESS.

I start my work out program tomorrow. My plan is to get it done and out of the way each morning. I just hate to go to the gym at night, but either way it will get done whether it is morning or night. Working out usually isn't a problem for me once I get in the routine of going. I actually enjoy it. I just would like to get it done first thing each morning.

Dont think of it as messing up. Think of it as practice for the real thing, and this time its the real thing.

                  good going kelly!

I actually haven't been that good

didnt cook much this weeknd, didnt get to my thesis, and I'm even up a pound or so! I'm hoping it's only TOM...

                  you're doing great!
bright and early to the gym... get it done early. oh and another good thing about going early: I've heard that when you make your mucles work, they keep working even after you've stopped exercising, so you get extra calorie-burning!

You sound a little bummed today! A pound or so could be TOM or just maybe a little water retention, however, not that huge a deal. I wouldn't sweat it too much.

As for me and hitting the gym this morning....WELL, I didn't make it! So, this means I will be going tonight! Oh well,at leat I will be doing it. I suppose it doesn't matter when you exercise just as long as you do it. RIGHT! My thing, as I stated earlier, is I just want to get it out of the way for the day and not worry about it.

Hope your Monday is a bright one!

I'm glad your Monday was better.

The GYM, UHHHHH????? I never made it!!! I'm not too upset though. My husband needed me tonight. He came home and was almost in tears. Well, to be honest he was in tears. He lost his best friend almost a year ago to a heart attack. He was only 38 years old, I think. My husband just had a moment where his heart was hurting so I wanted to be here for him.

So, I am getting up and going, FOR SURE, in the morning. I also decided that I HAVE to get it done in the AM or it probably won't get done. It is easier for me to go before the sun comes up then in the evening anyway. By the time the evening gets here I just want to relax and spend some quality time with the kiddos and husband.

I know it's an exuse, but hey, at least I can own up to it.

Hope your day is good tomorrow!!

Finally, I made it BACK to the gym.

I am still on track. Can't wait to weigh in at the end of my 2 weeks. However, my scale has been broken (my son did it) so this might be a good thing. I may have to NOT weigh myself until I get a new one and then hopefully I would have major loss by the time I get a new one. This might be a motivation factor for me.....I think it is!

Still NO coffee for me, YEAH!

Just dropping in to let you know I am on my 2nd week clean induction. I still have not had any coffee. WOW! I can't believe it. However, once the caffiene is out of your system, it is true, your really don't even miss it. I only had 2 days (actually I think it was only a full 24 hours) worth of headache withdrawal symptoms. Other than that, it wasn't too bad.

I am just proud that I've done Induction completely right this time around.
