Re: How to determine goal weight?

Thanks, Dolphin! Hey ~ our stats are so close! Same height and close weights and mini goals... i was just at a higher weight at my highest. (Just had a baby at that time though, so i won't beat myself up too much!)

I changed my signature to reflect my first mini goal ~ only 12 more pounds to go! So far, this week, i am down 5 pounds from the 17 i gained back! Woo hoo! And i feel so much better. I am a night-time feeder (hee hee) and have been able to resist snacking at night. Now i just have to up my exercise a bit...

Jenna I noticed that you are Medium frame. Well, blow me down I just did a few of these online measurement for my frame, and I'm Large framed. How funny. Oops I rechecked and I fall in Medium. My elbow breadth isn't quite big enough to be technically Large.
Congrats on the 5 down, current is what counts, not the past. I've been able to resist too, this woe is wonderful and results outweigh any other I've adhered to.

Where did you go to check your frame measurements? I should recheck mine too, just in case!

Re: How to determine goal weight?

Well here are my results: According to the Body Mass Index (BMI) calculations you should weigh between 110 lbs. and 150 lbs.

                      So 140 will suffice.

Re: How to determine goal weight?

                        That was enlightening!
According to the first link I have a large frame and should weigh 136 pounds (nearly there!)
According to the second one I have a small frame and should weigh 110 pounds!!

So it gives me plenty of scope!

Eeeeh! I thought I set my goal at 115 realistically, even on the low side, with a small frame and height limitations. But the second calculator recommends 106, gosh I will disappear and end up with lucky legs.

Lets go with the first link. I think its more precise.

I wiped the 2nd out. To keep down confusion.

Always remember that those recommendations are nothing more that that. One of them tells me my recommended weight is 115. My bra size alone is a common sense arguement against that number, lol. I think at the point I'm at in my loss personally, something between 125 and 135 is going to be my magic number, no matter what the charts tell me. They are great for estimates though.
