    Re: Friday, November 17

Ok, great question Tam, what I mean by some foods are still giving me concern, is when I eat, my stomach starts to churn, which causes my bowels to churn..which is concerning, since I have been trapping in an uncomfortable cycle for 36 hrs now...
Foods seem to be lurching around in side of me...nothing is going down without notice...food and drink left quickly without much notice yesterday...

I am fine...eggs and bacon for breakfast, a little chicken, a few radishes and some cukes for lunch...
75 oz of water so far...and numerous trips to the bathroom...the concern is, what next?

Hope you feel better soon, Outback!

Weekend plans are housewarming party and then a birthday party on Saturday (eat before I go! eat before I go!) and not sure what we are doing on Sunday. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

I had to giggle at this. It does taste better The longer I go eating low carb, the more high-carb food tastes icky! Seriously. Low-carb foods are whole, natural foods. Not all that boxed stuff and sugary stuff that make you feel all worn out and dragging. I use to be amazed after hubby would eat he could get up and go work outside. All I wanted to do was sleep! And we ate the same foods. It's just how my body reacts to carbs. Now I can eat and get up and get moving and it feels great!

I love hunting up recipes to try and discovering new foods. Today it's pumpkin! MMM

I have to agree with rachel - that cookie yesterday tasted awful. It was SO SWEET. And, it was kind of pasty in my mouth. It's just not even worth it, in my opinion.

Jess, if your store carries SmartWater - you should get some. it has electrolytes in it like gatorade which help with dehydration, but no sugar. Just water. Sorry to hear about your belly troubles. I get that nowadays when I eat carbs - so today was interesting. :P

Daughter just came in here with those big deli cookies with gobs of icing on them. All I could think of how last time I ate one it tasted like pasty flour glob. It was easy to pass up. Now, the sugary icing.. I don't know if I will ever rid myself of the love of sugary things.. but I can still make them atkins friendly and enjoy

              Hello this Friday Afternoon...
Congrats to all of you staying focused and distinguishing between the good and bad carbs! I read all these post hoping your strength and motivation with rub off on me indefinately! I am doing good. It gets easier as the days go on. I can see in my profile that I look thinner, but I won't weigh myself until the end of the November challenge. I feel at least 5 lbs smaller, so I may actually beat my goal of a 6 lb loss! YEAH!

**For leftover chicken.......I cut pieces up in cubes and freeze them in a ziplock bag. I will bring them out and toss a handful in a breakfast omelette or toss some on top of a green salad or stirfry a handful in mixed veggies.

Thanks Julie. Some days those good food choices aren't quite so easy to make.

Jess, I sure hope you start feeling good soon -- I feel like a dope for making you describe your food/stomach issues...

I hope you all have a great weekend. Do you all check in over the weekend? I will be.

I think its just winter Rachael, especially for you folks in LA who see the sun so much, when it gets cloudy, you get sleepy.

We dont have much of a winter time wise.. but it does get very cold. The humidity makes it feel so much worse. It gets into your bones and you cannot seem to warm up.

I never realized how much of an outdoorsy person I was until winter creeps in... I go stir crazy after awhile in the house!

We are having the 30s this monday... another cold front comes through. Today was not too bad. We did do some shopping today and lots of walking. I really do wish I had known you when we to GA over the summer. It would have been so nice to meet you in person
