  • Friday morning Roll Call

    Hey good morning STACers...Friday is here, casual day for some, the end of a work week...the beginning of trouble? If the weekend is trouble meaning, lack of order and structure, then friday was often the beginning of eating, paryting and trouble!
    The longer you do Atkins on the weekend, the more you can get into weekend routines...We always exercise outside alot more on the weekend...we run around and do errands and sometimes eat out. All of those just need a little extra planning.

    Rule #1, never Leave home without a snack or a plan of when you will be hungry next and what you will do about it! That's a great rule so you can have success out there in the world of fast foods and instant hunger.

    I use to enter the mall as far from the food court as possible...the smells would bombard me. I would eat before I went just about any where and I always took alot of water onboard along the way...better to be in the bathroom than at Aunt Annie's Pretzel shop. Malls were trigger points for me, because I ate there alot...

    We spend alot of time at the park, outside and enjoying the weather and exercise!

    Hi Jess,

    Thnaks for your words of wisdom in my journal

    Weekends can be a real dangerzone for me, but the golden rule - always take a legal snack - really works for me. If you've got something legal to eat, you can't have any excuses.

      I'm with that too. Always keep extra water in your car. For those emergenecy snack attacks. I always eat prior to going shopping with the wife, what's that saying never go to the grocery store on an empty stomach!

      Did some exercise last night, still not 100% caffiene free yet, trust me, I am 'FOCUS'g on it. Coming up on my busiest time of the year for performing. Lots of people like to hang out outside with the sunshine, I pray we have a lot of it this summer!!

      FOCUS! GOALS! MOTIVATION! PLANNING! We can do this, WE want to do this!!

        Weekends aren't my hardest time... Its the weeknights when I am running 5 nights a week to different activities.. My husband is in shock because I have actually had dinner cooked this week...lol I called him last night on my way to dance and said..there is Chicken, Green Beans and Potatoes (for them) on the stove.. He thinks its going to snow.. Cause normally I would just fix something microwavable or Ramen noodles before I went to dance classes...

        So I took a couple pieces of the cooked chicken and froze it for a night that I needed something quick.. Easy to pop in the microwave and heat up with a veggie..

        We are off to Busch Gardens today..and I am NOT worried.. Because I ate on plan there before and I plan to do it again. Have a awesome Friday!

            Very happy Friday!

            I used to always carry a snack with me when I was suffering from hypoglycemia. So now I just make sure it's a legal snack!!

              Weekends are notoriously problem times for me. However, deep ketosis and regular exercise I think will keep me on plan..because I FEEL STRONG!!

                  I've been down this week, so I really need to pick myself up this weekend! I hope it will be ok, supposed to be really nice this weekend so I am go to hopefully clean the house really good on Saturday, and take the kids to a skating place (today is my oldest daughter's birthday, she's 9), and then Sunday just chill at a park with the kidlets or something.

                  Today is "food" day at work..I actually had to coordinate it this time so I know what everyone is bringing and there is only one induction friendly food that will be there. It's for almost 30 people, and money is tight so I just brought in rolls/butter for all them, but otherwise not participating. I just brought myself some chicken, and brocolli. Ugh I am SO down today!

                    I'm here too. Thanks for the tip about bringing snacks with you Jess. Gonna do exactly that this weekend when I'm out and about.

                    Started fitday today, so thats a real plus for me. This its going to really help me keep control of what I'm eating, in addition to the great support on ADBB. How can I fail!

                      Hugs MissyMiss and pleeeease don't eat the food at food day!! You can do it!

                      I strategically planned my weigh in day to be Sunday morning. Friday night and all day Saturdays are usually our bad eat out nights where we indulge ourselves with all manner of carby goodies. I figured if I made my weigh in day Sunday morning, I am extra motivated to be PERFECT on Friday and Saturdays so I don't mess up my date with the scale. So I am totally geared and ready to eat right - weekends won't mess me up!

                      Water has been harder to drink the last two days, it's starting to taste bleck. I'm thirsty but am sick of water.....

                            Have gotten away from fitday for a couple of weeks, need to restart that TODAY. I have had a few spots of down time, Are you guys taking your vitamins. thats a HAVE to for me to keep my chin up. Its overcast this morning so was kind of hard to get going. Was out of town a couple of days so am not packing a lunch today just taking snacks and going to get a salad out. yum, grilled chicken salad. Hang in there Scooter, caffeine is a strong addiction, I have not been able to get out of yet. Not so sure I ever will. I know its not good for me but ( enter what ever excuse here) guess I am just not mentally ready to give that coffee up yet.

                              I am really dragging this morning, which is so not like me. Hopefully I'll wake up soon.
