      Good morning, all. Checking in also. If any inductors are tying to figure out what to do with the veggie challenge, maybe you can get some ideas from my stats journal. Just one note; there's a bit of a discrepency with green peppers so I'm going by the little Atkins' Carb Gram Counter for that one. I do believe I'm done buying lettuce - boy, there's just nothing to them.

      Looks like a nice day ahead with calmer winds. Hoping to get 10 miles in on the bike today. I have an appointment with the ENT this morning about a mass against the right side of my windpipe that the doctor found a couple months ago during a physical. Waiting for them to decide what it is and remove the darn thing is getting old. (I was assured last time it was not something very serious, like lymphatic cancer. GOOD!) So I'm going to be pressing them to get the ball rolling; enough is enough.

      Hey, I need some suggestions on how to get the quads in front stretched out. I'm having a difficult time doing so. First, they're so tight that I can't reach my foot with my hand from behind to pull up the lower leg from behind. If I try to use a belt or rope of some kind, I feel it more in the knee than I do the quad. I also tried lying on my back and letting that leg dangle off the bed, but the bed is too low and the foot hits the floor long before there's any stretch. I also stand with the leg needing the stretch on a chair and ease backwards but there's no stretching with that one either (chair is probably too low...) If anyone has any ideas, I'll be in your debt!!!

        Don't wait too long on those Jicama's.....they don't 'keep' well. Actually they don't last long in my house at all. But the first one I bought spoiled before I got the nerve to eat it. Funny...DH was scared...haha.

        obkbbby - Right now working on my 3rd cd of all original music. I write my music based on personal experience. Kind of like taking a snapshot of where I was during that time in my life, and every time I sing that song, it's right in front of me. My music is kind of a mix between Rock/Folk/Alternative . Pretty cool stuff. Fun! Thanks for asking!!

          Morning Missy , 14 pounds is a bunch, GREAT job, is it possible that when you were trying the smaller portions thing before atkins that you gained a little after you measured and now you have lost back down to the measure size? you said months ago, so thats a possibility.

          Morning STACers going to be a good day, hope I don't get caught up in the storms today hopefully they will start after my work day is done. Going to pack a yummy salad for lunch and a few cheese slices for snacks and water water water, I have my jug and a pack of 16ozers in the trunk just in case. have not taken my vit's for a couple of day boy can I feel it, back on track with that this morning. Have a GREAT DAY. cya later

                  Good Morning, All!

                  Just getting ready to go outside; yesterday I walked for an hour, so I am going to ride my bicycle today. (gotta keep those muscles guessing!)

                  Veggie challenge is awesome! It takes a concentrated effort, but I can tell already that it is worth it.

                  I usually work the day shift at my job (9:30 till 3:30), but today my niece (who owns the boutique) is having her bridal pictures taken at 4:00, so I will be working from 2:30 until 7:30. Can't let time get away from me... it will take some extra planning to get in my veggies today. I do best when in a "routine", but life doesn't always stay in a routine, does it? This will be good practice for me to "get-r-done" even when I'm thrown a "curve ball."

                      I would love to hear some, sometime. Our whole family is musical. My dad used to arrange music and my brother is in a rock band. I was trained in vocals for years before we started a family.

                      I think music is very personal - the best music should be, anyway.

                          Actualy my stats probably aren't accurate at all. My starting weight was at my drs, at the end of the day, fully dressed w/shoes. I didn't have a scale at home, so I couldn't compare when I first got home. I bought a scale a week later, and that is my "current" weight.

                            Hey all! Just wanted to check in this beautiful morning! I hope everyone is doing well. I'm on day two of induction and I have the "ickies" so I'm not feelin too hot. But, I know how much better I'll feel when I get over it, so I'm stickin it out. Anyway, have a beautiful day everyone!

                                It's been awhile, but the sun is shining once again, and the view out of my office window remains wonderful.

                                I'm in a rough stretch with Atkins right now. Eating the food and staying with the WOE is easy (so to say), but breaking past 158 down through 155 is going to be a battle. I'm now at my lowest weight in 5 years (result of my first time around Atkins). I hovered here for a LONG time though, I anticipate slow loss. Getting through the 157's took a few days. Regardless, every single ounce I lose gets me closer to my goal!

                                I feel great, look fantastic, and enjoy eating my veggies. No more days where I eat out 2-3 times a day. No more "6 dollar burgers" from Carl's, no more feeling bloated, no more constant agonizing bathroom visits!

                                Hope everyone stays positive despite cravings or pressure, and keep on rolling!
