    Traditional drink at the Kentucky Derby, take some sugar and mint and muddle it in the bottom of a glass, pack the glass with ice, add bourbon, garnish with mint sprig and sip. (or guzzle, lol). You can also use simple syrup instead, but I like the old fashioned way.

      Hey Sheepie - You should be fine......I'm not one for skipping rungs, however, Kentucky Derby......sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just be careful of triggers, okay? Keep lots of 'legal' snacks handy.

        Mmmm, I like both ways! But I've never tried the Splenda way.

                Just for you Scooter, I will do that. I have always loved to cook, I always said I learned to cook in self defense. My mother hated cooking, her idea of veggies was to open a can of veg-all (yickie, as Terry would say) and dump them in a pan, lol. Any meat she cooked was so well done you could file it down, sharpen it to a point and use it as a deadly weapon. I could go on, but <shudder> I'd rather not.

                  Morning all. Tomorrow I have to take my two girls to have blood drawn for labs for their surgery on Wed. Not looking forward to that either..

                  Rude co-worker came over and just asked me how I am doing..I told her sticking with it, but still not real weight loss..so she tells me that she thinks I should add some "healthy carbs" wheats, and yogurt..because I am being so unhealthy eating so much "protein"..then in the same breath she says she wants to do atkins..for a couple weeks only.

                  Anyways..supposed to be a "surprise" happening for us at work today..probably something like pizza ordered in..which is getting ridiculous..they know that myself, and another co worker are doing atkins..and then two are doing low fat, and eating weight watchers type of style..so they wouldn't be eating something like that either..that's 4 out of a total of 13 people.

                    MissyMiss - It sounds like 'Rude Co-Worker' needs smacked in the back of the head with some wheat or yogurt when she's not looking. Remember that movie Mrs Doubtfire.....oh dearie, it was a drive by fruiting.......(after hitting Pierce Brosnan in the back of the head with a apple haha).

                      I'm here! I am SO SORE from my workout yesterday. I used the resistance bands and I must have really gone for it because all down the middle of my back and my chest are just killing me! Should make for an interesting workout today lol!

                      My brain is tormenting me. You want to know what I dreamt about all last night? Eating pizza, fajitas, cake.....what is up with THAT?!

                          My mother's liver (that were used to replace the worn soles of army boots) and my dad's WELL DONE steaks and hamburgers come to mind. I didn't care for meats for the longest time because they took too long to chew through.

                          Then an excellent German cook made a medium-rare steak for me... OH - YUM!

                            BTW, for breakfast just now, I shredded some jicama as you would a potato for hash browns, fried it up in olive oil, added a tiny dab of butter and sprinkle it with cinnamon. Was that ever good!

                            Wanting more variety in breakfast that is more the traditional egg, "potato" and meat meal.

                              I have read where you can fry radish like that, I am going to try that this weekend with daikon radish, I'll let you know how it turns out. I know what you mean by wanting the traditional breakfast. I'll let you know how they turn out.

                              ETA- I was also thinking about seeing what I could do with mashed cauliflower, like turning it into a 'potato pancake.'

                                Morning, not feeling great today and the 2 lbs the scale says I am up doesn't help much. Havn't felt great for a few days, going to stop taking the one a day vitamins for energy and see if thats what it is, trading back to my old vitamin that did just fine. thats the only real change I have had. Tired Tired Tired. going to drag myself to work. Maybe I am coming down with something, not sleeping well at all again. Staying on plan. cya later
