    Canned - Libby's 100% pure pumpkin...found it in the baking section of the store. It totally killed my "I am dying for a peanut butter cup or a diet dr pepper" craving. I only used 1 oz cream cheese (1 third of the little 3 oz bars).

      Kim, make sure and get what Kristy described... the 100% pure pumpkin. The canned "pumpkin pie filling" is right next to the pure pumpkin on the shelf, so just make sure to pick up the correct can.

        Oh dear! Get some fish and more filling vegetables in you. You want that brain food and reduce the stress on your body before exams. Lots of water, too. IF you can, get a bit of a nap in this afternoon. (I know, easier said than done during finals...) Wishing you the best on your tests.

              howdy yall. finished my written portion of my exam late last night. took about 10 hours total. did my oral exam this morning, was 3 and a half hours of torture. 4 professors grilling me with the goal of making me feel stupid. i passed and now can move on. we had a celebratory lunch afterword and i cheated in grand style. i have been planning on cheating today since i got on atkins. ill be going back on induction starting this moment. the food was good for a bite or two then it was disgusting to be honest. im now shaking and feel like crap afterword. cant wait to pass this from my system and be back in ketosis.

                      Hooray on passing! Three and a half hours sounds just awful. What are you studying? I'm a little sorry that your cheat wasn't more satisfying, but now you can celebrate again with some real food! LOL!

                        Late checking in today!

                        Today was the school Talent Show, so I've been rehearsing, practicing, and preparing since 7am. I am super-tired, and I might actually take an extra day of rest this week. The show went well, and I think the performers enjoyed themselves.

                        I'm down 1/2 pound this week, even though it's TOM. (Sorry if that's too much information, fellas.) I'll take measurements tomorrow. I hope I lost some inches, too!

                        I'm looking forward to the weekend...I hope everyone has a great remainder of their Friday!

                          Speedyturtle.... hope you bounce back tomorrow, and feel better. Not getting any sleep affects everything in your day.


                          I'm in such a good mood today because I've lost 4 pounds. The scales have been going up and down for weeks and finally stuck! My clothes have been much looser and I could feel it, but the scales weren't recording it, until today. So everyone who's waiting on those scales to change...hang on, it'll happen. Hope everyone is feeling much better today.

                          Sheepie, enjoy the mint julep! What a nice tradition with your Mom.

                          Jess, glad to see your post. We need you here Woman, we miss you.

                            Oh Morning Glory, I meant to say sorry for the SNOW and if it makes you feel any better... the sunny south is gearing up for a terrific storm coming my way today ..looks wicked! You're right it does affect your moods.

                              i am working on my PhD in cell and molecular biology, spefically immunology and aging.
                              im acutally glad my cheat wasn't satifsying. its kind of like when i quit smoking. i broke down one night when i was out drinking and smoked, it was horrible and i woke up the next day knowing that i would never do it again. i am having the same feeling about food loaded with carbs.

                                Holy smokes! Bravo, Matt! Can't even imagine what that test was like.

                                What's the deal on the shakiness and feeling like crap just from one slip-up?? What's happening in the body when we take in the junk like that? I'd really like a visual to understand and help resist temptations.
