    Good Morning STACer's,

    Since I am up, thought I would start off the week.

    Just when we thought spring was really here, we had a frost warning last night!

    Well my scales actually moved! The numbers, that is, the scale did not grow legs. Although if the numbers hadn't changed soon I would have advised the scale to grow wings, because chucking it out the window was starting to sound like a pretty darn good idea.

    I cut my carbs to below 12 a day over the weekend and I think that is what did it. It certainly wasn't caffeine stalling me...I drank way too much coffee over the weekend.

    Di, great news on the loss!

    I am exhausted! Got home late from the wedding, and now up for work. I am starving b/c the food was awful...apparently the bride's family is religious, so it was kosher. No cream for my coffee!!! YIKES!

      Good Morning everyone...

      I did well yesterday spending the whole day in a different area.. The Italian Restaurant that we went too I was able to get a Grilled Chicken Salad It was good..

      I am up 1lb this morning.. But I had 2 hotdogs last night and they have extra salt.. So that is probably the problem.. Hands are a little swollen this morning.. What is really weird is that I have never really had an issue with Salt bothering me.. I never have been a big salt user..

      I think we are suppose to get sun here today but its chilly.. I wore a sweatsuit yesterday.. Its May..that is crazy around here..lol

          It was my cousin's wedding...and although we are Jewish, we are basically reform. So, the bride and her family must be conservative. I have been to many Jewish weddings in my life (including my own ), but never have seen such a long service and so many prayers during the reception!

          The ceremony was beautiful, well, what we saw of it...Damn Manhattan on a Sunday, parades, bike tours and street fairs everywhere!!!

          and Sandi...salt can affect me like that too...funny I never noticed it until I became more aware of what I eat.

            Good morning everyone. Good news, no news, bad news. Good news...we planted flowers yesterday and they look beautiful. No news...no news on the weight loss front. Bad news...my dad called yesterday to say that my mom fell and broke her hip. This after fighting 2 kinds of cancer in 2 years. Hopefully they'll do surgery today. I think I'll be fine diet-wise, but I can see how easy it would be to give in to a big bowl of comfort food!

              Ouch..Hope your mom will heal quickly.. Don't touch that comfort food it won't help the situation...it will only make you feel worse..

                  Good Morning All.

                  Still no weight loss, and today marks 4 full weeks. I admit that I am very frustrated, and confused. My starting weight is when I was last at the drs..and I actually have to go again in about a week..so I will see what their scale says then compared to what it said a month ago. I guess that would be my real true test, even though the new scale I got about when I started has not budged. I'm wondering if I should try adding in more carbs, or what. Or maybe my body has become "immune" to this WOE and being able to lose on it. This is why I am chosing not to post as much here..I am a real downer.

                  Then my one daughter now has a sinus infection, and the other was up on Saturday night throwing up. I have to call their dr, and reschedule their tonsil/adenoid removal which was supposed to be on Wed.

                    Good Morning STACer's!! Woo Hoo!! What a great weekend!! I had an absolute blast playing out Saturday! What a great time. I love LOVE LOVE to play outside, and feel the wind in my hair, playing my songs, the stage was beautiful, and the people were pretty receptive. They all just completed the mini marathon and were just plum tuckered out!! Side note...SHEEPIE, hon, so sorry to hear about your mom's injury, I hope she gets better fast!! SASSIELEE - Congrats on the wedding, DI - Thanks for getting the ball rolling, and congrats on the scale moving, ol' Scoot slept in this morning .....yay!

                    Anyway, that night played for another group of people and landed a steady bi-weekly gig all summer long sponsered by 'Corona'......yeah baby!!!! Scooter got a sponsor, not enough to start plastering stickers on the car, but that works, went home with t-shirts, stickers, drink mixers, blow-up corona bottles, they hooked me up. Not as receptive of a crowd, but I had at least a dozen people come up and say, 'man, what are you doing here....I'd pay to see you play....haha, all I need is about 15,000,000 more of those people and I'd be on my way....lol!!!!

                    Yesterday, got up, feeling the energy and my wife and I planted our garden!! I love it. Spent most of the day working on it. Tomatoes, Peppers, Jalapeno's, Radishes, Cucumbers, watermelons, Sweet Peas, Green Beens, Summer Squash, Acorn Squash (lol....sorry inside joke), and this year a whole new 'herb' garden. Lots of good acceptable stuff!! My wife is finally thinking about this way of life, she's a huge diet coke drinker, and doesn't think she can give it up, but I almost have her talked into it!! WOO HOO!

                    So I've rambled on enough my friends, oh yes, went to the Store and Kroger had an awesome sale 20% on meat, I took all my tip money, $40 and walked out with about 20 steaks! I was a happy camper. Steaks for dinner last night with a side salad and 3 bottles of club soda...man was I thirsty!!! Yikes!

                      Hey goodmorning everybody. I am up and rolling. Just came in from a 2mi run, and I MADE myself do it! Not been up for much, still struggling through each day. Eating good, and focused ok there...just keeping up the routines, refusing to give into emotions that are ruling my world presently...
                      Hey I bought a bathing suit yesterday, a tankini....that's been along term goal...a 2 pc that looks like a 1 pc....NOW the temp drops again in Atlanta!

                        So sorry about your mom! Try not to give in to eating as comfort. It won't help her heal and I am sure she wants you to be as healthy as possible. Good luck to both of you. I will be thinking about you today.

                          good morning. i have been super busy all weekend long. i slacked off on my exercise saturday and especially sunday. at least i drank my water and veggies. gonna pick it back up today. i got some new 45lb dumbells on friday to work out with. i thought to myself hey i have lost 45 lbs so i took one, threw it in a backpack and walked around with it to remind me of what i had been carrying around before i started. it is amazing how much 45lbs really is.

                            Hugs to everyone struggling! I am doing terribly on my exercise but I've been preoccupied with other things (making our vacation plans for the next 6 months) and dh has been sick with a cold so of course I have had to baby him. Eating is still on track though, and I'm in the right frame of mind. We are going on a cruise for our 10 year anniversary in 5 months and I am so excited! We just made this decision and booked it this weekend!

                              Good Morning Everyone!!! Well my weekend was pretty decent. We did the baptism yesterday and it was so beautiful. Afterwards we all went to my Aunts even the pastors and family to eat, and i did eat a little of the beef stroganoff there, but i dont feel like i just totally screwed up, this is a way of life for me, and i might not be perfect 100%of the time all the time, and that is part of me changing my way of thinking, so anyway today im going to the gym to start on my 6 days a week of the the 6wk challenge, im so excited about. I will plan monday-saturday to work out daily, taking sundays as a rest day. Whoever is having an issue with excercising, please join a challenge that is what motivated me, just 6 wks ago, i could not fathom excercising 5 days a week but i did it, and saw results in inches disappearing, maybe not the scale moving to much but i will have to say my hubby last night says that i look as though im losing in my stomach and hips area, yippee yay lol. Well anyway just wanted to check in on this monday morning but i need to go on to the gym, i like getting my workouts in earlier in the day.
