    While reading one of my smutty books to take my mind off of the world and try to fall asleep, my mind kept trying to detour my mouth to eat berries and cream. I ignored it and kept reading the book until my eyelids were getting heavy. Hubby said I rolled over in a humpf and went to sleep. LOL...don't even remember that. But I won the head hunger!

    LOL...they were flowered ones too You know sometimes when I get the munchies at night and I know I shouldn't be hungry I do the same thing go to bed and read and fall asleep.. Even if its early... Cause of course when you wake up again the urge is gone

      HOLY COW JOY! That is freakin sabotage!!! I'm mad on your behalf

      I am most proud of myself for my mind set. It's been a little over 5 weeks now. The only other time I made it this far was the first time I did Atkins and was successful. I have tried probably 4 other times between then and now, and each time within 2 weeks max I had cheated several times, or was eating lots of low carb candy, bread, tortillas - and was mad and upset that I was "having" to do Atkins.

      This time, it's JUST like the first time. I'm excited to be doing this, I have zero desire to eat even a single grain of sugar or item that is not allowed to me yet, I'm excited to get to my goal and STAY there this time.....it's just nice to feel grounded in my head and positive about this WOE, rather than resenting it like the last few failed attempts.

            Checking in! Got on some great black pants today that would not zip a month ago and now they do and they actually look pretty good. This is sooooooooooo totally cool!!

            Everyday that the scale doesn't move, I feel that urge to be gloomy...and then I think about how far I've come in many ways and get a big stupey smile on my face ! Isn't this great, ya'll ??? to know you are on your way to slimness, health, self-control and self-confidence??? Everyday, even though you'll face challenges or temptations, you also KNOW you are going to make it and going to love reaching your goals???

            Well, I have a happy streak going today, don't I?

                I hope, hope, hope this is truly what's been the problem. I won't know for a couple weeks though...TOM is due any day now. HOWEVER, this morning I was back into the 189's so something is happening. I'm having one heck of a headache withdrawing from my Lipton-sabotaged-tea addiction.

                  High Fructose Corn Syrup.....man....why do they do that!!! It's like in everything anymore......sorry Joy. I do hope that is the culprit.....nice lesson for others, sadly it had to happen to you, of all people though!!

                        Just stopping in for a quickie. Started the day off right with a 3.3 mile walk. I just need to keep remembering how much better I feel after the exercise on those days I don't feel like doing it.

                          Hey all, sorry so late checking in. Its my day off today so I slept in a little bit and then my husband and I walked our doggies for about 3 miles. Its hot and sunny now, but its supposed to thunderstorm later, so I figured we would get it in early. I cant tell you guys how much I love the excercise challenges. Ive been walking so much! My dogs are happy, Im happy and I feel great and my husband is thrilled. Yay!!

                            Hey all, I'm in late too!

                            Today is a "hungry" day, but I was expecting that. I've got good foods planned, and I'm drinking my water. Tonight I'm going to the gym after work to do some leg strength training and a few miles on the elliptical or the bike. I started dry-brushing on Saturday, and even though it's only been a few days, I can already see/feel a difference! So my day is great.

                              Good afternoon everyone. Sounds like everyone is having a good day so far.

                              Couldn't sleep last night and got up to do what I usually do in that situation........eat. I got some pepperoni and some cheese, more than I should have for the day, but it was better than the chips or the pretzels. Today I'm dragging, tomorrow I have a big dental appointment. I hate the dentist! They're going to put me under for this, so I'm kinda nervous.

                              Hope everyone's gotten over their stomach bugs and are feeling better.

                              Julie, hate to sound stupid but what is dry brushing?

                                Good afternoon! Guess I'm late, but it's been a little busy. I've exercised and feel stronger. Not as sore as yesterday. We had a nice shower this morning and the sun's out now. It's never too humid here in West Texas, looks like it will be a wonderful evening for a jazz concert. My son and daughter are both playing. Gotta go, everybody have a great day and stick with it!
