  • Monday morning Roll Call

    Hey everybody, good monday morning!!!

    Today I am focusing! Today I am going to drink all my water, and eat all my veggies. Sounds so simple, but after a while it's those little things that start to creep up on you...
    Little deviations (sp?) from plan
    Little decisions for just one bite, here or there...
    Little decisions to not go for exercise, after all you'll do it tomorrow!
    Little extra bites of this, and NOT that....

    It's those little things I need to focus on. I've not been getting in all my water, and I have been taking little extra bites past satisfied. I've let a bunch of little carbs add up and take me over my levels...

    Time to focus again, and that's really good for me, because it's the little steps away from the whole program that will LAND ME IN TROUBLE!!!

    This week my daughter finishes up her year of school, she is headed back into induction! I am going to follow her with a modified induction and will leave the world of desserts, after dinner and tighten up my whole eating. I know she wants to loose 20 to 25 lbs this summer and I would like to drop another 10. So where we will focus is in all the little things!

    Hi Jess - love your new siggy pic! You look great in pink. Love the idea of focussing more. For me, I'll focus on exercise this week. Need to get moving - every day! I'm pretty much in control of water and food. My aim is to exercise 5 days per week - I'm only really at 2 at the moment. Time to get serious!

    Today is my weigh day - no shift on the scales, but TOM time, so thats fine. But get this - drum roll please ... I've lost another 6.2", which is over 32" in total since I started this woe.... Its incredible! So today is a good day for me.
    Anyone reading this who doesn't measure every week, start today. I promise you its the best motivator when the scales don't budge.

      Good Morning everyone.. After such a frustrating day yesterday..one picnic with practically nothing to eat.. I stopped at Wendy's and picked up a Salad for the second picnic... Got there went to eat my salad and they gave me Honey Mustard Dressing..9carbs per serving..the stupid little packet would have been 18carbs! I ate my salad dry.. I was so mad... I had a hamburger too.. So All day long I was fighting to stay on program.. I wanted to quit.. why couldn't I go back to WW's..then I could eat anything I want... I did that all day yesterday back and forth...

      So I got home last night at 11:40p.m.. very late for me.. I thought...I am going to be too tired to go exercise in the morning... Woke up at 6 feeling great...

      So needless to say I am off to the torture chamber (water aerobics) I can finally feel my legs today...lol

      Have a great legal day! Oh..finally the scales are back at 270...I got that little taste on Tuesday of last week and have been at 272 all week...

          Good morning everyone! Jess, I love that photo and you look great! It looks like everyone is doing well. No backsliding.

          I had a great but busy weekend. We brought wings to a cookout and in addition to the usually burgers and hotdogs, they also had devilled eggs and someone brought Italian sausage cooked with red, yellow and green peppers. It was soo good.

          I've slacked off on fitday, vitamins and water, so I hope to get back into the swing of things today. My scale hasn't changed much in several weeks, but I feel a change coming on soon.

            Wow! Sounds like everybody is focusing in today! Me, too. I've been doing a great job exercising this last week. In fact, lost another 2.25 inches (up to 15,75). But - like Jess - I have let my water slip. I definitely need to get more water. Woke up this am and saw a gain of 1 pound. Lo and behold - I'm retaining water! I can see it in my fingers. Definitely water. I need to be drinking much more than I am. So that's my focus today!!

            Jess - the new pic looks great! I am so proud of you!

            Perfect - great news! Good job!

            Sandy - outstanding job yesterday avoiding all the bad stuff! That takes such willpower! And you were rewarded this am when you woke up feeling great!

            Off to teach. 13.5 days left of school - well at least for the kids. 17.5 for me. But the countdown is definitely on!

                YAY the end of the school year is always nice.. We are done here... But we usually start next year during the summer when its too hot to go out.. YAY on your inches lost

                  Sandy - keep the chin up..... you are doing great! And you will be rewarded honestly by the scales.....your already back to 270!

                    Hey, Sandy! We should be in your neck of the woods the last week of June. We are planning on going to the water park and the pottery that week. It's been a couple of years since we've been to the pottery, so we are really looking forward to it. (It was rainy and cold last time - but almost empty! ). And this will be the first time my ds has been to a water park. Need to get a new bathing suit. That makes me happy and nervous!

                      Sandy don't quit! On WW yes you can eat some of everything but you won't lose weight and you'll be HUNGRY all the time. I hate that hungry feeling when you aren't ALLOWED to eat!!

                      I'm joining the water club this week - I have done TERRIBLY the last week or so drinking my water. Yesterday I only had maybe 4 8oz glasses....ooops. So that is my main focus this week is drinking the water. Today I got on the scales (don't know why) and it was down .5 lb - I'll take it!

                      Yesterday I really paid attention to fitday and got my fats down to 65%, that is good for me lol so I am going to keep putting a menu in during the early part of the day and tweaking it until the fats are correct. If I just eat the way I have been without tracking and tweaking, my fats are WAY too high, even for Atkins So I need to start watching it I'm afraid, if I want to keep eating nuts and berries and all that other good stuff.

                      Gonna exercise today too, even if it kills my poor sore body

                        Hey everyone, back from our weekend away unscathed!

                        A handful of peanuts, a lc beer, and defintely not enough water (we were driving around a lot and I have a small bladder)...otherwise totally on track.

                        No loss, but no gain, and I am happy with that!!!

                          Good Morning, Everyone...

                          I really do love the way you started us off this morning, Jess. An excellent theme for me - REFOCUS!

                          At this point, I appear to have my food under control. But, oh my! The water thing... I don't know why, but I really struggle with this. I must do better. Yesterday completed 7 days on Rung 2 for me and it was weigh day. I had no change, but I am OK with that. I stepped up my exercise last week and didn't get the water I needed Saturday, so when I woke up and felt "tight" hands, I knew I was retaining water. Otherwise, I felt "thin".

                          Although I did step up the exercise last week, I am nowhere near the level I want to be at. I increased my cardio last week, which sorely needed increasing. This week, my goal is to start doing Pilates 3 times a week. Haven't done that since my first time around on Atkins in 2004 - I know that it works! After this week, I desperately need to start doing something to eliminate my "bat wing" situation. You know... when I hold my arms up and out, that loose skin kind of reminds me of bat wings.

                          Sandy! Way to go for sticking it out... I know you were having a stressful day yesterday. That which does not kill us makes us stronger! Waking up feeling good this morning - what a validation of strength! You have the hardest part of this journey behind you, girl! The actual getting off your butt and turning your life around - that is soooo difficult. And yet, you've done just that. Yesterday, you persevered through a most trying circumstance and came out on top. You know in your heart that you have come too far to turn back now, and you WILL do what you need to do.

                          Ah... today is the first day of summer break from school. On the one hand, I am thrilled to be free from making school lunch and cracking the whip to get homework done. On the other hand, I will need to get used to hearing "I'm bored" all day long. He really is not very good at enertaining himself. He is 11 years old and could stand to lose about 20 pounds, so I will be steering him towards lots of exercise. I just hope he continues to be receptive to it. Yesterday we rode about 4 miles on our bikes, and I hope to increase that consistently.

                            Morning, am afraid to weigh in my evil scale said down 1 1/2 lbs yesterday, I don't trust it. probably won't weigh til later. Won't change my cw until it stays down a few days.
                            sounds like we need a water challenge around here. I also need to get my water in.
                            Will do better of that today. Out of here to work. and drinking some water.

                              Good Morning Everyone, just checking in!!! Not much going on with me this morning, a little sore from Saturdays hiking trip, so today i dont think i will focus on lower body but im going to focus on upper for sure, and probally take my dog and daughter for a walk, instead of going to the gym, who know, i really need to get some miles in, i dont think im going to make my challenge of 60 miles this month if i dont pick it up. Well i hope you all have a blessed Monday, this is the last week of school for my daugher im excited for her, i love when they are both home.
