  • Wednesday Roll Call

    Good Morning! I can't believe its the middle of the week already! Okay..there is no way that Scooter is this busy at work that he can't post and let us know he is alive.. Someone go find him..lol Lisa with the two little girls is missing too she hasn't been on in a week. I even emailed her personal email. I hope they are both okay.

    Sunny day again here in VA.. My daughter and I are heading to the Y today for our water aerobics class and to do some weights. This afternoon going to see Pirates of the Carribean 3 and go out to dinner..The other mom wanted to go to Olive Garden.. There isn't much there to eat. I am trying to talk them into going somewhere like Golden Corral where I know I can eat.

    Good morning, Well I got up early today, and it's a struggle sorta...for someone who has bounced out of bed at 5am for 10 months, because of feeling so good onAtkins, I am finally wanting to sleep in!
    Today is day 7 of re-induction. We've been reading in the DANDR book all about induction, ketosis and now insulin. Just getting a new perspective, because knowledge is power. What I know I can use to hold mysel to the line. What I know can be used by my brain as logic to my "dieter" inside. How I keep myself on track often comes from a good deal of "self talk" and I use the knowledge from the book to stay focused and on track.
    Most of us know Atkins works, we just usually want it to work FASTER, or to see ourselves progress FASTER, get where we're going FASTER...But our bodies have a timing all their own. Often it's said, "we didn't gain it all over night, we won't loose it all over night"....SO we have to plot and plan for how to stay on track between here and there, right? Well, I'm never leaving the track. I am just circling around again and going to familiarize myself with OWL, and move my kid up those rungs and myself included...

      Good Morning, STACers!

      I just got done with my exercise, 2.4 miles woo woo. My DD (Dear Dog) loves it! And, I didn't have any diet coke yesterday! Big deal for me. Just 1/2 c coffee and that was it for caffeine. Yes, I was grouchy towards the evening, but, it should get better.

      Sandy, sounds like you have a great day planned. In the past when I've gone to Olive Garden, I've asked for a grilled chicken breast and then I had there salad with side of ranch or, bring your own and put it in your purse.

      Also, it gets hard when everyone is eating those great Bread Sticks. In order to not feel like I'm missing out, I tell myself that I'm special because I don't need the bread sticks and I'm totally taking care of myself by asking for what I need.

        That is the hardest part.. When I am losing only 1 or 2lbs a week (Which is the right way) and I get so discouraged.. I keep telling myself how much better I will be in lets say September... those 1 or 2lbs add up You are doing great Jess!

          Good morning everyone. Sandy, you're just go, go, go aren't you? Everyday you're doing something fun while I sit at work! I'm jealous!

          Jess, you're right. I want it to work faster! I feel like I'm barely losing, but yesterday a coworker told me that she could really tell that I was losing weight, so that was nice.

          I really thought Lisadallas would be back by now. I'm worried about her too. And Scooter. I don't know what his job is, but it only takes a minute to check in here. I think he thrives on this board and I'm worried that no news is bad news on the Atkins front.

          I drank a lot yesterday, but felt sick last night...sweaty, headache, bloated, achy...and I still feel that way this morning. I've got to go to work, but I'm going to drink even more.

          Happy Wednesday. The work week is half over already!

            Thanks Buffy.. I have only eaten at Olive Garden once in my life..and it was Pasta.. I went on there website and of course the Steak is like $22.. I would rather eat plenty at Golden Corral.. I didn't know if they would hold the Italian Dressing on that HUGE Salad that they give you either.. Brittany didn't like it last time either.. We are a Ranch family...lol You know the breadsticks don't bother me unless I am really hungry. I have had no problems with the rolls at Golden Corral either As long as the kids move it to the other side of the table..lol

              Yes I am always on the go.. I hate sitting at home.. I am also trying to fully just enjoy the last few years I have left with my kids being at home...My oldest turns 18 this year...and my baby is 14.. So I don't have a lot of time left

                Checking in while eating breakfast and getting my calcium in. Going to attempt to be a little more active today, taking care of housework, bills, etc.

                I've got coffee in the microwave but suddenly am not sure I should have it. Trying to determine if the tingling from low calcium levels are happening. I just took 1 gram of calcium and had cereal and milk for breakfast. Going to give it a little time and see how things shake out...

                  Morning My energy level picked up mid day yesterday and I'm feeling good this morning! I have no dirty laundry (a huge deal in this house lol), no dirty dishes, everything is clean. Have to bring my 5yo for her well child check up today, will be a challenge with a 2yo climbing on me but I feel up for it!

                  I made it to 120oz of water yesterday, my goal is at least 128oz today.

                    I'm here, nothing new to report! I am officially going to move to the legume rung today when I make my chili and add kidney beans yay!

                    Last night I made Linda's deep dish pizza crust and I will be having pizza for dinner, can't wait.....I'm still up .5 lb on the scale so I shall continue to drink that water and stay away from my Crystal Light. I've been eating nothing new and really watching my totals so I think this is just my body refusing to let go right now. I'll let it be that way, knowing I can outlast it heh heh heh!

                    My kindergartener has her Luau today to celebrate the end of kindy...sniff sniff. There will be cake there. But it shall not tempt me, OH NO!

                      Hi - just checking in: am staying at my mums whilst job hunting and waiting to move into our friends place, but the eating is currently out of control - even turned down 'Toad in the Hole' last night for a creamy lamb Tikka Massala curry with lots of veg!

                        Good morning everyone! Well I made it through day one...now im suffering Of all the times Ive done Atkins Ive never had induction flu this bad. Its absolutly horrible but I will not stray!! Me and Jeff went grociery shopping last night and I bought all kinds of fresh veggies and all that good stuff so Im all set for food, but now I just dont want to even eat! I feel like crap. Does anything help induction flu? I know I need to drink more water...thats a given. Maybe Ill go sit outside and get some fresh air and later take the Santana ( my dog ) for a walk.

                        Jess why are you starting again? What happend?? Well whatever it is, youre a tuff cookie and Im right here with you, Im on day 2!!!

                          Good Morning STACer's!

                          Your buddy Scooter here! Life is really good and hectic. I had to upgrade my computer at home and was rewarded with a melted hard drive!!! Yay!

                          I've ordered a new computer. Waiting in great anticipation! Still following plan. Still pushing on. It's just harder at work to slip in and post!!

                          Gigs going great. I hope everybody had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Mine was somewhat of a blur!! Wife and I drove 3 hours, and I played out Friday night, Saturday afternoon, Saturday night, Sunday afternoon, drove 3 hours and played out Sunday night. Monday - I was a vegetable. Seriously, I did nothing. I barely ate, it took too much energy! Haha!

                          Oh yes. I hit the alcohol rung. Yummy. Had 2 Double Jacks on the rocks Saturday night. Felt like I'd drank 5 of them. Slept realllllllllllllllllllly good.

                          No headache or nothing. It was good to 'party' with my wife and sister. Kinda fun. Can't let it happen alot though, it seemed a little tougher to stay on track Sunday through the day.

                          Anyway, I love you all, I miss you all, I just wanted to let you know that the Scoot man is still alive and kickin'. I promise to get back on track here when I get a regular schedule, I miss my computer!!!

                          All is good in the world. At least my little tiny corner of it!

                              Good morning STACer's! Good to see familiar and friendly posters here.

                              I, too, and re-inducting. After the weekend on the cruise and small cheats, which wasn't bad until I ate a piece of pizza 9BIG cheat), what a belly ache!

                              I think I caught a cold on that cruise..sore throat, congestion so LOTS of water for me.

                              As for weight loss being slow while that may be true I find the changes happen quickly. The inches just seem to go effortlessly.
