    Good morning TGIF!! I know that acronym!!!!

    I finally lost 1.5 lb...i now weigh 160.5 YOO HOO, hopefully i'm past my stall.

    Sandy, I hope you have fun at the Christian retreat, I know you'll do good.

    Linda, is it hard doing no dairy? I couldn't imagine, but that could be why i'm stalling.....i dont' know if i can do the spit in the cup thing but i'll try.

    I did good all week, i worked out every night for 45 min.

    For those of you that have toddlers...here is a funny story. My 2yo daughter was caught by my teen son eating choclolate behind the counter, she was literally covered in chocolate, so he cleaned her up. keep in mind she did not know i knew about it. About 10 minutes later we were gettin ready to leave the house, i wanted to put her hair up in a ponytail,(she hates that) so i said "jess, i'll give you a piece of chocolate if you let me put your hair up? and plain as day ( she just turned 2) she says, in a very cocky voice "i already did that" (meaning she already got the chocolate).....that little rascal...needless to say she didn't get her hair put up.....I wish all my teens were that honest....it's just funny how innocent the little ones are.....

      Dang. I must STILL be a farm girl--didn't know so many could balk at spitting into some water.....ROFL!! I'm just not as cultured as y'all....

      Great story Michelle! My youngest is now 8, but oh man--she was so sarcastic even as a toddler.... YES!!!! It IS hard doing no dairy. I miss cheese, ranch dressing, butter..... I can't FIND anything to eat. Of course--the fridge is bare because we're leaving!! Wow--never knew there were so many Virginians here!! Yay!

      Julirama!!!! Tell me about Montana!! We have semi-serious plans to move there in summer 09 (after oldest graduates). And, we're planning a vacation there next summer (thought it might be wise to at least visit before we move). My husband works at Lowe's and they just opened 3 stores in Montana.

      Have fun and stay legal!! I'm packing lots of water in the cooler for the drive. If I GET any---now all of the kids are drinking water again.

        Guys and gals, I am VERY nervous today. The office I am temping in is throwing me a "goodbye" potluck lunch. Of course I made two dishes that were good for me - the broccoli crustless quiche and "my favorite coleslaw" from http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/index.html (WOW great recipes), but I am still freaking out. Of course, I don't know what's going to be there, so I shouldn't freak out too much yet, but I feel like a) people might be insulted if I don't eat their food, or b) I will be too tempted and give in. What's worse, I missed breakfast this morning. I could really use some advice or support.

          Hi Val.. Everytime you think about eating something at that potluck that you aren't suppose too think of us looking at you...lol You will do fine.. I find that when I have problems like that I pile my plate high of my stuff that I get full and am not tempted..

            The supervisor is getting a bucket of KFC. If I take off the crispy breading and discard it, do y'all think I can still eat the chicken, or should I just avoid it altogether?

              darnit,

              i just posted a big long reply and then i hit the back button instead of the enter button!!

              the basic jist was blazing, your story was adorable. everyone, have a great friday adn hang in there! stick to our WOE at the potluck, do what sandy said and pile your plate with stuff you can eat...someone is bound to bring in sandwich stuff, just eat the meat/cheese, someone is bound to bring in crudites or veggie platter, and you brought legal dishes as well. that is plenty of food! you can also always put a piece of cake on your plate, mush it around a little with your fork but don't eat, and then get so busy socializing that you 'dont' get around' to eating it. i do that manuever all the time, works like a charm....

              i am down 2 pounds! afraid to update my ticker until sundays, just in case i gain back. like sandy or someone was saying the other day, i REFUSE to put pounds BACK on my ticker....i claim the ones that come off only!!

                Morning everyone! Ya'll are up and at em early.
                Getting ready to go to Yoga. Scale is not my friend today. Skin feels tight with water/swelling. Didn't drink enough water yesterday. Want to quit... (NOOOO!)
                Don't worry I won't. Feel like I keep going from one crisis to the next. This week my daughter had her wallet stolen from a party... worried about her semester in London next fall... and how she is young, beautiful, ditzy, prey to creepy preditors can't think of everything to warn her about... so scary out there in the real world...
                Got that pile of silverware to finish wrapping for wedding this weekend. Need to get miles in.... May take a break from that today and just do Yoga... So freakin' hot!
                Missing the May gray, didn't get our usual June gloom. Not ready for the heat!

                  Hey, everyone!

                  Happy Friday. It's been a long few days. The scale hasn't moved, but, I know that is due to a cheat earlier and my Diet Coke intake has been going up again.

                  Also, running is converting fat to muscle, so the scale is not a good measurement. I need to take measurements again. Probably tomorrow.

                    Good morning, and Happy Friday! I get off work early, and I'm going to go shopping at the re-sale store. Niece's wedding shower's tomorrow and I'd like something different that might actually fit. Hope everybody has a great weekend!

                        Sorry I was so negative earlier. Feel a lot better now after Yoga. It was a good workout. Finishing up the last of these darn silverware things for the wedding tomorrow. Making a pot of vegetable soup.... yum!

                            Michelle, I know that regular vinegar is out, but you can use oil and Bragg's unfiltered organic vinegar (with "the mother"). It has little strands of stuff growing in it, but it's supposed to be very good for you. (search the yeastie board for it.) I have some in the cupboard, but I haven't dared try it yet! LOL!

                              And you can eat ALLLL the eggs you want!

                                Awsome, thanks guys, I guess i'll use the olive oil and the "Mothers" vinegar, i also have that in my cupboard.....how about sunflower seeds?
