    good morning! for the first time in a long time, i am feeling uber motivated...i'm thinking it has something to do with joining julierama's challenge and posting pics and measurements for all to see! i'm really super excited about this! also, would someone send me the recipe for dom's cheesecake? every time i read about it, i wonder...and my mouth waters!!! anyway, i am thinking about motivation today...what is it i truly want and how am i going to keep myself motivated to get it...??? happy day everyone!

      Good Morning everyone!

      I'm on vacation all of this week and it's great not to think about work. I haven't done this for a long, long time.

      Great start this morning. I too enjoy reading y'all's thoughts. I feel like I know you all, but we've never met face to face.

      Anyway, my thoughts on the sweating are that the body is detoxing from all of the carbs and also converting to a ketogenic burn. (sound good, doesn't it?) I'm not a Dr, I just play one on tv. hee

      Drink lots of water, this is just your body readjusting. It's a good, temporary state.

        It's been so long since I was on induction that I forgot about those! Great idea - it does give you that crunchy snack thing. I have to put them in individually baggies, though, or I will definitely eat more than the alloted amount! (Remember that Lay's commercial - can't eat just one?)


        Buffy - when we are this open with one another, how could we feel any other way? My best support system is this board! Not that I don't get support from my family, but only Atkineers really understand, ya know?

          Obkbbby--I always brought finger foods for lunch because of the same reasons! My favorite veggie to bring was a bell pepper (usually red or yellow) cut into strips. I ate them plain, as they're so tasty on their own. If I made grilled chicken for dinner the night before, I'd wrap any extra breasts in foil and take one to work. I eat it right out of the foil so my hands don't get dirty. Individually wrapped cheesesticks are great too. You can also take pepperoni, hardboiled eggs, other sliced veggies (like celery and cauliflower) with ranch. If you don't have little rubbermaid/tupperware containers for ranch, just pour some in a sandwich or snack baggie. That way it lays flat, and you can throw it away when your'e done.

          Well it's going to be another hot one here today, over 100 degrees. I'm planning on going for a short run this morning before the heat of the day sets in, and I'm planning on doing my main workout this evening. I'm going to walk to the gym and do upper body strength training, then go to yoga class. I *might* also sit outside in my bikini <ahhh!> and try to tan up my ghost-white stomach.

          I've been drinking almost 2 gallons of water these past few days, and I think I'm STILL dehydrated!

            Good Morning Everyone!

            Today we are off to Huntington Beach. I don't exactly have my idea "beach body" yet but I am looking forward to going all the same because I get to spend time with my daughter and husband.

            The 4th went great food wise, I stayed on track which is a big obstacle for me when I am around BBQ ribs, potatoes and all that other stuff! I am finally starting to see the scale go down again. Boy those cheats over vacation last month WERE NOT WORTH IT. I am finding out it takes me longer each time I fall off the wagon to get back to the point where I am losing again.

            Funny thing mentioning the leg cramps today. I had to jump out of bed in a hurry this morning as one hit my calf just as I was waking up. What a rude awakening. I guess I am going to have to get me some potassium.

            I hope everyone has a wonderful day. Sandy keep hanging in there and keep fighting the good fight. You can make it.

                Good Morning, All...

                Have had a productive morning so far... walked 3.5 miles, completed 200 crunches, 100 bridges (butt lift/squeezes), and 50 side leg raises on each side. Whew! Feels great...

                Yesterday marked Day 130 cheat-free for me (haven't cheated a single time this go round!). Feels great...

                Wishing all of you a great Atkins day so you can feel great, too.

                  8 oz heavy whipping cream
                  8 oz cream cheese - softened
                  8 oz sour cream
                  1/2 cup splenda
                  1 tsp vanilla

                  Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set asside
                  Mix the rest of the ingredients until smooth. Fold in the whipped cream.

                  This makes 12 servings (divide equally between 12 foil muffin cups or 12 fluted glasses) @ >3 g. carbs per serving.

                  Good right out of the bowl, very good chilled, and can be frozen.

                        I meant to sign up for Julie's challenge, but I haven't been around much lately. Instead, I think I'll create my own personal cheat-free challenge! Start small - maybe the rest of July? Think that sounds good?

                          Good Morning to all of you! Sounds as if everyone is facing the day with a positive plan! So proud of everyone! Today is my 33 legal day of reinduction and feeling oh so fine! So happy you got through the day with no birthday cake Michelle, I had a minute muffin too while DH had apple pie. Disco, 27 days of Legal, AWESOME! Great to hear About you greeting the day with a plan Terry! I'm at a stall now for seven days. If anyone sees the whooshie fairy, send them my way. lol. Cheri, sounds like you have a busy schedule hon. I love those cheese chips they're talking about. I use to take them to the salon I worked at. Everyone dug into them and loved them. Well, It's another sweltering day here in the Great Northwest. I got my walk in early. I'm focusing on portion size, water intake(2 gallons), and moving. My daughter and I will do yoga later and floor exercises. Wishing everyone a Happy Legal Day!
