    Good morning!

Just want to say congrats to Jess for becoming our new journal hostess!! what a beautiful hostess we have.

Speedy hope you have a safe to to SA.

We are moving close to the weekend, the 2 days that are potentially dangerous on falling of this WOE. Every weekend I have to promise myself not to cheat. At first it was a true struggle and usually was the reason I dropped off the diet. I would always do good mon-fri, then here came Saturday with parties and going out to eat, and I would cheat. I haven't done that since May 28th of this year and I am going to continue to be a "promise keeper". That is one thing that Atkineers are, we are PROMISE KEEPERS.

Have a great promised day, Michelle.

Yep PROMISE KEEPERS is a huge deal in my personal walk with Atkins...It's restored my self confidence and respect..People generally like us or not...But we, we know the TRUTH about ourselves...and we smile on the out side and think, "if you only knew I'm not as good, or great or to be trusted"...
I know my self all too well....and it's only now that I am gaining back my confidence...

Speedy great points here, it's our walk, our journey and we need to OWN IT....

        Re: Thursday Morning

Doing the morning check it. I was suprised to see Speedy post before Jess. I'm surprised to see ANYBODY post before Jess. LOL

Support is certainly necessary. I was at the gym last night, under the training eye of my nephew, when the gym owner came over with his own words of support. I told him about my online support group, but stopped short of saying Atkins. My nephew told him I was on Atkins before I joined and all he said was he was concerned about cutting out all those "good" carbs. Somehow I doubt he's read the book, but he's probably heard enough to know it at least works. The thing about facts is, you might not like them, but you can't deny them.

I'm one of the lucky ones. I've got support coming out of my ears!

That's good Byker, I don't get support around me, so I soley rely on this board, which I am very thankful for. Unless people read the book, they do not understand the diet, and they just go by word of mouth from others, which can be dangerous.

Morning Fellow STAC'ers and our new STAC Forum Hostess "Iron Jess" !

Safe travels Speedy! Its great that your co-workers are supportive and understanding, it just makes things so much easier.

You can do it Blazin! You have made it past lots of weekends without cheats. Sometimes its not easy, but you are stronger than that girl! Hope it cools off for ya some! Promise keepers, anyone that is on this WOL and doesn't cheat, takes their vitamins and exercises surely can be called one!!!

Iron Jess, you have this life so down pat there isn't too much I can say. Your dedication amazes me. Congrats on the new STAC Forum Hostess position!

Like you byker I have support everywhere. My girls support me because they see how happy and more healthy I am. My sweetie supports me cuz he is on Atkins too and knows its benefits first hand. We all want our families and loved ones to support our choices, sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. but even if they don't, we owe it to ourselves to push through. We are worth it.

Keep up the good work Mojo. Its not easy to stick with the plan when on vacation, but you can do it. I find the food part easy, its the structured exercise that I struggle with at those times.

Hey party! Good for you for hanging in there. I know how frustrating that is, doing everything right and seeing no results. Make sure you are drinking your water, have some kind of an exercise routine and check your food intake for new foods added, carbs and calorie counts. The weight will come off when your body decides to release it. We are all different.

Well, my friends I hope you all have a good day. Lots of errands here for me to catch up with since my company has gone, plus I have the dreaded yard work to tend to, so its going to be a busy, but productive day. Take care everyone!

Good morning all. Today I'm wearing a pair of black jeans that I could barely get over my hips when I started! The size on the tag is big, but they're smaller than some smaller sizes that I have. I've remembered my vitamin! The only bad thing is that I got rear-ended on the way to work, but the upside is that he wasn't going very fast. All in all, life is good!!

I'm still hanging in. The end of today will be one full Cheat Free week in induction for me. Today was the first day the scale hasn't moved for me, but I'm good with that, I think 5.6 pounds the first week is pretty good, and I don't expect a true stall this early in the plan. I'm just holding the course. Happy Thursday to all.

                      Re: Thursday Morning

                      Hello there, you all!

I had a good night's sleep and I feel peppy, as usual on this woe.

Yesterday I realized that I take more supplements than I can keep track of easily, so I headed to Walgreens and got myself TWO of those days of the week pill thingies. One for day, and one for nighttime. Filled them both up. That way, I can take one in my purse to work when school starts, and have one by my bed for right before I go to sleep. Made me feel like an old person, but why should they have all of the cool organizing gadgets? lol

I'm starting OWL today, which is exciting. I got myself some pumpkin and more of my regular veggies. Last night I had second thoughts ("I haven't lost anything in a week, how will I know if more veggies stall me?" "I'm in the middle of TOM, how will I be able to tell ANYTHING?" "WHAT? Not extending induction for 3 more months, you twit? How COULD you?") but I managed to shut those thoughts off and now I feel confident.

I like your attitudes, about keeping promises. I won't use the term myself, as it reminds me of those people who keep trying to convert my teenaged kids, but I'm with ya in spirit!

Trying to decide if I should run today. I did yesterday. I could just go workout this afternoon. SHould I be running every other day?
