ack, 4 rear end collisions...back injury just bites, doesn't it?

do do do ...can't touch this.....uh, now its in my brain...

ok, after making a whole bunch of calls with my Legal Advocate Hat on, I now have an appt with a dr. (my insurance SAYS they'll pay) on Thursday, 1/17...one week before my birthday and a few days before TOM is scheduled to descend on me....

There's something just WRONG about a) waiting 2 or 3 weeks to see if you have a blood clot and b) having icky medical tests on your birthday...

Thanks to everyone for their good wishes...

Catherine: That is wonderful about your jeans....do do do do... can't touch her!!! Thanks guys now you've gotten me doing it. Give those Dr's Derby ****. We have all sent prayers up and your way. Things will turn around for you now.

Sunny: I still enjoy tent camping. That is the only kind I do when I do my Scout camping. Of course I do sleep on a cot. I trashed my back growing up and as I get older can't do the ground thing. However, in 2006 my DH and I splured and bought as my children calls it.. home away from home. A 32' travel trailer. That is how we camp for the family. So much easier with my mom as well.

Tracey: You're over in my part of the world. In the middle.... I love to ride bikes but can't find one that doesn't hurt my b&$tt. When my kids were little my DH and I would take them for rides all the time.

Cat: I love to read also. The only time I have to do it is just before I go to sleep or when I'm camping. As you can see all of my hobbies are away from home. They have to be that way so I can make myself make time to do them.
and BTW if your ancient... what does that make me.. i have a few years on you.

Time to grab something to eat... I have to be at work 3:00 - 1100pm (MT) so I'll catch up with everyone then.

              Have a wonderful wonderful day!!!

Okay let me see if I've got this right...your doctor thinks you may have a blood clot in your carotid artery? But you have to wait 2-3 weeks to see a specialist about this???

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE???? I would call this an emergent situation & you should have been seen like right now & had an ultrasound of your carotid arteries. But thats just my opinion.

I would call back your doctor & tell him/her you want an appt sooner.

I'm eating well & drinking my 96 oz of H20. In ketosis & feeling good. Enjoying DD & having fun. Allowed myself to get overtired which is not good for me. Went to work borderline $itchy & worked with a surgeon who just makes me nuts. So my morning was not great....I did good....I didn't choke the big jerk!!!

My point to the dr. exactly....if I've got a clot now, why not head to the ER? I suspect she is being over-cautious insisting I see a vascular surgeon. I don't have any of the customary symptoms - I've just got this crazy rash thing on my neck. I did finally get an appt for next Thursday which is "the best we can do"...so.... one week is better than 3 weeks - yes? I should be good and nutso by then.

Now, shall I start my rant about "Managed Healthcare"....oh, better not.

Oh my gosh last night was so stressful. As an emotional eater this incident would have sent me on a binge - instead I chewed the heck out of some gum last night (which I was trying to cut down on). My Mom fell and we ended up at the ER. What luck is this? After falling in October and shattering her knee which is healed to the point of a new prosthesis. When she screamed, my heart dropped into my stomach. I threw my laptop (luckily it's still working). My nerves were so shot and I was so tired that I didn't even go to work today. However, I did not cheat (even though I wanted to).
