    Good Morning Everyone!

Glenda - I'm so glad your daughter is coming home! It will be wonderful for you two to catch up!!

Cat - sounds like a really long day. Actually you've had alot of those lately. I hope you are taking care of you!!

Kass - You did it!!!! I knew you could!

Sunny - I'm from Wisconsin! We've had really weird weather, tornado the other day and they are saying 5 inches of snow tomorrow! From 60-65 degrees down to 35 today!

    Yesterdays menu was:
    B-tuna with mayo
L-salad with turkey, crumbled bacon, hb egg, a little cheese and ranch dressing
    d- tiliapia and spinach
I probably had 150 ounces of water yesterday!!!

My reward.... not a single ounce gone this am.... I can only attribute that to TOM looming.... I will not let this beat me down and return to crappy eating because of a few days.... I will not..... hahaha

    Hope Everyone Enjoys the Day!!

Rough stressful day yesterday and my thoughts turned immediately to carbage but I ranted and railed and fussed and sputtered and managed to eat on plan and do my TM. Today is another day.

Tracey, we're neighbors! And yes, the treadmill is in my basement studio - gym is miles away so this was the next best alternative.

Sunny, hope you have another beautiful day !

Kass, bwtg on those push ups...crunches, squats...you GO!

Cat, sounds like a long day yesterday...thinking of you

Glenda, today's the DAY!!! YAY!! She'll be home before you know it

Sherri, how're you doing today? More snow?!!!!

      Marie & Sweets - how's it going?

***** I'm determined to push the stress away today so I'm putting a rock in my pocket, lol. When faced with rude insistent stupidity, I'll grab the rock...OM OM OM

            • Re: Kentucky Derby . . . . . . Keeping on Track

Good afternoon! How is everyone? My back is really sore today. My legs ache but in a different way - maybe it's because the orthotics are causing me to use my feet and leg muscles correctly? I'm so tired. This thyroid dosage is a joke. I guess I'm going to have to find another doc (again). I'm so tired of not getting any help. Why do I pay for insurance?

Ok, off the soap box. I've hardly done any work today (don't tell anybody). I can't concentrate. I was awakened off and on all night by strong wind. Thank God it did not result in a tornado (watch until 4:00 this morning). It wore me out. I kept waking up wondering if I needed to grab my baby and head for the closet in my bedroom. Tashiana slept with me last night. I keep her with me if she's sick or if it's storming (I feel safer that way).

I plan to ride my bike for about 5 to 10 minutes this evening and then do my 20 minute ab workout (TJ workout that doesn't require twisting).

Sunny - where ya at? Doing ok? I pray so.

Tracey & Catherine - yep, long days at work but I'm hanging in there. This too shall pass.

Kass - you go girl with your bad self. Maybe I should join a gym. It would be "me" time and maybe I could get a trainer who would know what I could and could not do based on my injuries.

Marty - don't be a stranger. Come back and talk to us.

Glenda - hope your daughter gets home safely and so happy she kicked the no-good-man to the curb.

Bekka - what does jicama taste and look like? I don't think I've ever seen it around here. Good job posting your pics to the challenge.

Sweets - I don't know where you are? We miss ya.

Sherri - where are you at? I hope you didn't get lost shoveling snow. Just checking on ya!! Can't have you coming up missing anymore either.

Well, let me get off and check all the messages before my lunch break is over. Later!!

Today is a little chillier, but the sun is shining, so it is a beautiful day! It's 60 degrees today and a bit windy.

Maybe I'm not doing the rock thing right. I've almost always got a rock in my hand or pocket. I have been collecting rocks from everywhere I go for at least 30 years. Whenever I go walking outside, I'm always looking at the ground looking for pretty rocks. The forest that I found to tramp through has beautiful rocks, with lots of pinks, purple and teal colors, shot through with shiny stuff that I'm not sure what it is. I have a storage building near where I walk, so I carry a bunch over and put them in my building--got my hands full and my pockets full with small ones.

The last time I went to Vancouver Island, my suitcases were very light on purpose, but I still had to ship home some clothes so my suitcases wouldn't go over the 70 pound restrictions from so many pretty rocks! The beaches along The Strait of Georgia have the most beautiful rocks.

I do have one smooth, very pink rock that came from Second Beach at Newport, RI, which I keep on my desk and pick up and hold when I am stressed. My kids called it my pet rock.

I'm planning to build a waterfall fountain out of my rock collection some time this winter. I've run out of ideas on how to display them. So far all it is is a "sort of" idea in my mind and several boxes of rocks.

I have been doing my to-do list today, so haven't exercised yet, unless you count carrying a 20 pound tool box around the house. I put up a heavy full-length mirror on a hollow core closet door by myself and with only my two hands to hold the drill, screwdriver, level and other assorted things needed to get it up. Now, I'll see the real me every time I get out of bed or go to the closet or when I'm exercising. while I've got the tools out, I need to go put up the mini-blind in the kitchen. I hate working on out of square old houses. Everything has to be jerry-rigged.

Got lots to do, so I better get at it.

                Sunny!

                  Good Morning Ladies!

I'm still here! Today is the first day we didn't have to shovel snow . Looks as though we are going to have a break for a while.
Glenda, I can only imagine the excitement that your feeling having your DD coming home! Sounds like a celebration is in order. Glad to hear you had a restful night with no interruptions.
Sunny, I too, am a rock hound. I come from a family that has collected rocks. My most favorite rock is one that my father found about 11 miles from my home. My father was a rock driller and would blow up mountains with dinamite making way for highways, dams, Alaska Pipeline and verious projects. When he was on the dam project near my home he was walking through an area they had blasted and was headed home when he looked down and found an unusually looking rock. It looked like a foot print of sorts. He brought it home and my mom sent it up to OSU, Oregon State University to have it tested and anylized. Come to find out the rock is a Triannisaurus (sp) foot print. It actually has two prints on it. I have the rock to this day and sets atop of a table in my living room.
Kass, Your doing great Kass, so proud of you and your work outs!
Catherine, What is it that you do? I carry a rubbing stone in my pocket all the time. It's a great stress reliever. Especially if its for throwing at someone or something, LOL!
Cat, I sleep with my DD when she's sick or when it storms real bad too. It makes us both feel safer. Your doing great with your exercise as wee. I'm so proud of you.
Tracey,If there's one thing that this woe will teach you is patience, with yourself and the SCALE. I remember when I started Atkins back in July 2004. After six months of losing 80 pounds I hit a 36 day stall. It really tested my patience and will. I kept at it. You have to remember that our bodies adjust to weight loss, exercise, hormones, and this woe constantly. My body rewarded me by sticking to plan and being patient. I lost 100 pounds in ten months! This too will happen for you! Patience dear. We're in it for the long haul.
Hi Marty,How are you doing today hon?
Hi Bekka, Do you like you new job?
Sweets, Where you at? We miss you! Get back and let us know your okay!
                  Did I miss anyone?
Today I'm making grocery list for shopping tomorrow. My DD is my diet buddy and she requested a few things. We're going to incorporate more monounsaturated fats in each of our meals everyday. She would like me to pick up avacados, nuts and seeds and some dark chocolate for her. She takes her lunch to school everyday.
I missed my hair appt. yesterday I so need to get my hair trimmed and rehighlighted. So I will reschedule and pray for no snow storms the day of my appt.

I did 85 minutes of exercise today. I couldn't see where it was helping any to stop the eggs, so I added them back in today. I'm in an unusually black mood tonight and I can't seem get over it. I didn't even go to church tonight or to choir practice, even though that means I cannot sing in the choir on Sunday. I'm not very happy with me right now. Even the sunny, warm day didn't lift my spirits. It's supposed to rain tomorrow, so that should really help.

Sorry, I can't think of one positive thing to write, so I'll go back to bed and read.

Hey Everyone!!! I've been so busy with work and Scouts last couple of days, I just haven't had any "me" time to write.

Glenda: I am soo happy to hear about your dd. It is so hard when the kiddos are MIA and there is nothing you can do about it. I was lucky to have all mine (and their spouses and my grandbabies) home for Christmas. I was pretty bummed that at the last min. I had to work most of the time they were here.

Sheri: Glad to hear that you have made it through the last snow. Sounds like my Dec-Feb of last year. I normally always have my Christmas decorations down prior to Jan 01, but last year I couldn't get the lawn stuff down until late Feb. It drove me absolutely crazy.

Cat: Happy to see you getting some exercise again. I know how you've missed that. I saw a infomercial about the Turbo Jam and thought of you. I am thinking about going onto Amazon.com and picking me up one. See if I can get into it like you did. You'll have to teach me everything. Conference call anyone?

Sunny: I like to pick up rocks too.. not as many though. A friend of mine got me started when we go 4 wheeling to pick up a rock big enough to put in my gardens as not to forget that day. Like I could... especially, the day I almost went over the mountain in my jeep.... never that trail again. You seemed to have hung around me to much and catch my blackmood disese!! I am really sorry. One thing to be in a bad mood, but a whole other thing to not know why!!

Kass: You are truely burning up the circuit aren't you girl??? I am really proud of the "ump" you have and wish I had some of it. I hate exercising by myself and haven't found anyone willing to make the commitment with me. Send me a tape of you talking to me and I'll listen while I exercise... think that will work??

Catherine; I am so glad you stayed on track. I know that sometimes that is the hardest thing to do when stress hits. I am back on track but had a few rough weeks. Hey let me know also how the rock thing works...

Tracey: One of these days we're going to kick TOM's BUTT!! Course I'm at the age he's making his "last" stand. Wish he would just go away

Now that I have written a book I must wish you a fond farwell. I have brought some work home today so I guess I'd better get to it. I also have to do my treadmill sor the 20/24 challenge.

                      Talk to everyone later!!!

My butt is dragging something fierce! Stayed up with DD until 2 AM & then up at 6:30...get to go into work late today!

We had a great time visitng about so many things in our life. We laughed so hard our bellies hurt. She vented some about the breakup with the boyfriend. She is so over it & has such a fantastic attitude...she is incredibly strong!

Someone asked...DD has moved back home to live! She has a job interview today at the hospital! She is motivated to get a job & then her own apartment.

Have a fantastic day everyone. My food is on track, I'm drinking my 96 oz of H20 but have got to get my gluteus maximus back into the exercise routine!
