Re: Wednesday 24/10
Hi everyone!
I woke up today ready to unpack the car, thinking we are past the evacuation danger, only to learn that 2 fires have merged and may be heading toward us eventually - not today, though. So, the car stays full of stuff.
Yesterday we kind of lay around all day except for a brief period in the afternoon when I cleaned out a remote closet. That was good, except now I have about 3 bags of things to give away and a big huge thing of trash - and we haven't had garbage service since Saturday, lol. But the clothing and stuff will be welcome at the Salvation Army, which is setting up "shop" to let evacuees take whatever they need.
Hopejoy and I have been pmming and it turns out we live not far from each other and belong to the same gym, so we are going to hook up. That's one fun thing that has happened, though frankly I wish that the city of San Diego wasn't required to be on fire for us to figure that out!
I've been eating so-so. Nothing illegal, I promise. Just not enough, and not very much in the way of veggies. I have to eat more - but frankly, when I don't exercise, my appetite is nil. I try to have something every couple of hours. We may head over to Ihop for lunch or something, and then I will have a salad in addition to eggs, because for some reason, I can't bring myself to make salad at home anymore - isn't that WEIRD?
I just love reading everyone's posts. We are a really tight group, and I feel like I know each of you. I LOVE reading about everyone's successes and trials/tribs!!!!!!!!! Thanks for continuing to be normal while those of us in S. Calif are kind of turned upside down.
