    Good morning everyone! HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!

    I'm sure everyone is looking forward to the weekend; I know I am. I'll have a big challenge tonight, as we're going to my niece's rehearsal dinner and it's going to be Italian food. I'm sure I'll be able to figure out something...I don't think I'll be tempted to cheat AT ALL. It's more of an annoyance of having to pick through things and figure it all out. (but it certainly is worth it)

    The scale just isn't kind to me. No movement this week at all. I've got to do something different (like EXERCISE!), as I am starting to get a little pissy about it. I know, I know...exercise is crucial. I've got to make that commitment to myself. No excuses; just do it, right?

    TGIF!!! I'm so glad it's the end of my week...it hasn't been the greatest. Off to my dads tomorrow for the weekend...I'm looking forward to this.

    Huggija per Dr. A "exercise is non- negotiable". It truly does make a difference...not only with budging the weight loss but with mental attitude. I know this from experience!!

      Friday is so awesome, i just love it. still holding at 146.5 pounds, may call that goal at the end of veggie challenge...hope everyone has a wonderful Friday

          Good Morning All !

          Well it is friday and I am so happy about that! I am also happy that the scale has moved a bit for me. I don't really have any major plans for the weekend so that should make for a very successful Atkins weekend! I would like to get out and walk a bit if the weather is nice. I am so motivated right now it is great! I can't imagine why I ever stopped this way of eating! I think I will exercise today. That is something that is really lacking in my plans lately. I think I will look for a challenge I can do. Any suggestions? I have a stationary bike I like to use so I think I might start with that.

            Morning yall!

            Huggy, yes exercise will make all the difference I think. I went almost 3 months with no weight loss whatsoever, and i was running 10-15 miles a week! I finally took Jess's advice and changed up my workouts, to include swimming and biking, and lo and behold, the scales started moving again. Hang in there!

            gmitroff, have fun at your dad's. i like your pink writing.

            blazin, i have to agree....you might just call it goal! you have done a remarkable job of keeping that scale moving and sticking to plan....very proud of you. and you look fantastic!!!

            i have a long day at work and then plan to have a nice night out, but am getting up early tomorrow to ride my bike 15 miles or so. i have finally decided to pursue the triathalon training and swam last night (400 meters) and boy did it tire me out!!!

            stick to plan, stick to plan, enjoy it!!!!!! have a truly wonderful friday all. it is so so SO nice to start the day with you all every morning. thanks for all you do.

              Good Morning Everyone!

              A huge TGIF !!! Work week sucked this week .. so glad I am 8 hours from it being over .. lol

              I accomplished getting to the gym 3 times this week - with a goal of 4 for next week. I am only able to get in about 35-40 minutes on my lunch hour. but I think it will be worth it. My body is tired so I am taking today off but intend on going walking tomorrow morning.

              I have a busy weekend ahead and trying to plan accordingly! I usually end up not eating much on the weekends. I need to shift that! I also adjusted my start date to reflect my first clean day of induction. I hit a bump or two in the road the first 2 days.

              Gmi - Have a wonderful time at your dad's

              Huggi - The scales havent moved for me in about a week either ... Hang tight maybe we'll both have a drop on Monday

              Shinning - Switching out to the stationary bike can be a great change. What do you normally do for exercise? I will be adding a Pilates DVD for my weekend exercise routine. My tummy muscles cant handle much more than once a week atm ..lol

                Higgija, I find that Italian and Chinese are the hardest to get through when doing Atkins... every other kind of eating is a breeze! Just try not to go hungry, and you won't be as tempted. I know that you can do it!

                I have a little challenge, myself, today. This weekend is my son's school's fall festival, and I will be baking for the Bake Shop Booth. I am making two pecan pies, a batch of double chocolate brownies, a german chocolate chip pound cake, a chocolate sour cream pound cake, and a cinnamon crumb cake. LOL... I'll be fine, don't worry.

                  Holy baking Mitzi!!!!! More power to you girl! I'm sure you will be fine but I know my limits and I coudn't do it. Hillary had a bake sale last week and I donated 20 dollars to the fund and sent my apologies. I just knew I wasn't there yet!

                  Today is a kind of boring day for me no real plans and with heavy rain coming tomorrow wil be more of the same I think. I am going to visit my friend who's in the hospital tomorrow but thats it for plans.

                  We're making sure we have what we need for the kids for Halloween as it's right around the cornor. We got pumpkins last week and two are rotting allready so it's back to the patch tomorrow too if we can get some in the rain. Sunday we will carve them and Sunday evening is my little guys family birthday dinner.

                  Thats about it for me on the upcoming agenda ..........

                    Morning, all!

                    Here in San Diego, people are slowly returning home from the shelters, and the wind has died down, so the fires are holding steady and not spreading. A good end to a horrific week.

                    I haven't been able to exercise at all and it is AWFUL! I feel sluggish and dull. Icky pooh. Hopefully, by early next week, the air quality will be better.

                    Naturally, I'm retaining water like crazy so I'm up from 204 to 207.5 despite eating less calories and not cheating. Holding steady, too. Well, what's a girl to do? I know it will come off, plus some. I'm eating under my BMI in calories, and I'm in ketosis, and I haven't cheated once. Patience is a virtue (so I oughta be INCREDIBLY virtuous!)

                    Hopejoy has returned to her home near me, and that makes me happy. All of the other Sandiego Atkineers are safe and sound, and that also makes me happy.

                    And it also makes me happy to check in here and see that life is quite normal for all of my stac buddies, and to enjoy all of your news. Thank you for being who you are.

                      Morning everyone! Well I so need to get moving with exercise! It's been my fault, but I know I need to do it.

                      Today I go out and pick as many pumpkins as I can to take to the farmer's market tomorrow so that should be fun since it's chilly and rainy. But it has to be done.

                      No scale movement - but I didn't expect any because of the jello at 11pm last night. I was up looking at sheep (doesn't everyone?) for a sale that is going on tomorrow and I had to put my bids in with someone else since I won't be there. THEN I had to talk to my husband about it when he got home from work.

                        Hi everyone. Just a quick check in . I have to take my 14 year old cat to the vet this morning. She has a chest cold. I am hoping its not pneumonia. Hopefully , I will have time to make my salad before I have to go to work. You all have a nice day.

                          It's 8:20am, Los Angeles time, I finally am up early for the roll call! YIPPEEEE! Reason being: my son's b-day. I wanted to give him his birthday pumpkin pie this morning before he went to school. Normally, I light the candles on the pie, he comes downstairs, I sing Happy Birthday to him and then we sit down and eat some pie. This year, for the first time ever...I DID NOT EAT PIE! LOL! For a brief moment I looked at the pie and longed for it, but only briefly. I told him, "this whole pie is all yours". And I didn't take "just one bite" either! I'm pretty proud of myself. I figure I only have two more days of induction and then for Halloween I'm going to make mini low carb pumpkin cheesecakes. So I didn't feel deprived at all! I think I'm going back to bed though...this is way too early for me to be up! ROFL! Then it's leftover steak scrambled in some eggs with mushrooms for breakfast and a nice 3 1/2 mile walk to the bank!

                            So many members here already this morning! And, so early too. It rained here last night, so everything is wet and kinda dreary out. Hoping it clears so I can get out and walk. My scales continues to go up one pound, down one pound. I wish it would make up it's mind already. Happy Friday everyone. Hope it's a good one.

                              yes, I'm home! Yippeee!!!! Feels so great! Thanks again everyone for your warm thoughts and prayers.
                              I worked yesterday, lots of respiratory problems out there with this air quality being so poor.
                              I'm scared to get on the scale as I'm retaining water too. also ate cheese and nuts last night when I got home from work at 11:30 pm... shouldn't have done that!
                              Running the humidifyer to add a little moisture to the air... it's so dry.
                              Think I'll go back to bed now... dh woke me up talking loudly on the cell phone... really tired, and have to work again this evening.
                              Maybe I'll get up my nerve to get on the scale tomorrow... really dreading it! lol!
                              Didn't give in to carb cravings yesterday and did well food wise. Going to exersize at home today a little later... riding the stationary bike or something.
                              Thanks for being here everyday... I love reading all the posts, it really gets my mind focused and back in the right direction.
