Re: Radish: Taming a Fireball
Thanks so much for the radish information! I've always used them as a garnish as they are too hot for my taste. Last night I put pre-cut up chicken that I coated with a mixture of no sugar dijon mustard and soy sauce in a casserole with halfed radishes, and fennel bulbs and red onion cut into wedges--cooked on 400F for 45 minutes--Even husband who doesn't eat veggies liked it.
Has anyone used the radish tops? I found a recipe for radish top soup but I cannot find any nutritional information on them. If the tops are edible I am wondering if I cooked use them cooked or raw as salad vegetables. Not knowing how many carbs are in them is preventing me right now. Seems a shame to throw away something I might like==I have so many of them.
