    okay and since we have come to this conclusion..what do you do to get these snacks in? besides cheese...what are some of your tricks and ideas for adding more fat?

      Add some full fat blue cheese or ranch to your veggies for a great snack, veggies and dip. I cook in olive oil too. Deviled eggs are a great full fat snack made with mayo!

        ahh yes i do enjoy ranch dressing. i don't like mayo at all ick so i can't really manage to get that down.

          yep eggs, sour cream, olive oil, butter on my veggies and ranch dressing. Cream cheese, heavy cream, bacon, cheese and mayo.

          not necessarily in that order, combination or frequency

          413 squats so far this month!

            I eat quite a bit--I work out a lot, and I teach fitness classes, not to mention my workday is long and active and I'm constantly moving or dancing or jumping or whatnot with my students. It's rare that I have a day under 2000 calories. I probably eat around 2200-2500/day.

              I've got an olive oil flavoured with rosemary and peppers that I put on my salad to help get in my fat.

                  I'm curious slingnmom how atkins has affected your milk supply? My wife is a La Leche League leader and most folks, including Dr. Atkins doesn't recommend being in ketosis while breastfeeding.

                    I have only just started counting calories on fitday and was shocked to see by the end of today, I will have eaten 2401 calories! I would never have guessed that but it's because I am eating a lot of fat 69%. Will prob try and trim this a bit now I am not on induction!

                      If you are like me and most people following the diet right, your appetite will drop and your stomach will shrink and you won't even want to eat as much. I know that sounds like a fairy tale, but it is true. or at least it was for me.

                        I am eating like a piggy at the mo as due TOM. Usually I am not that hungry!! Am hoping this isn't the norm but will keep on logging to check x

                          When I was on induction, I felt the need to eat a lot. I would crave something illegal but I would feed it with legal foods. Once my cravings broke, I have had an easy time. It is actually more trouble to me mentally to worry about getting all the food I need whereas before, I just thought of food constantly... especially pining over things I couldn't have.
