    Re: Roll Call 2/19/09

Actually, the 5 was 5% carbs-I never took typing (not even with college papers!!) and sometimes I am in a hurry and don't put in correctly. I thought maybe my protein was to high but doesn't seem so. I will give up coffee tomorrow and start forcing SALAD vegetables. I want to know if anyone has tried the Jack Lalaine Juicer? Would be soooooooooooo much easier that way-just don't want to pay the $150 right now!!

      Happy Thursday STAC'ers

I slept better last night- Yeah! I woke up feeling rested. I didn't get 3 liters of water in. Almost 2 about 90 oz. What I did notice was that I wasn't very thirsty last night when I was watching tv. I was trying to finish my 2 liter. I also didn't get up frequently to go potty.... Hmmmm.

I still didn't make my self a quiche yesterday. I wished I had because I had sausage for breakfast yesterday- plain old gross sausage. I am definately going to make one this morning before I get on the shower. I made the cheese cake muffins again last night only this time instead of SF caramel I used SF raspberry. Yummmy! I like the raspberry even more.

Today's Goals: 3 liters of water, make a quiche, pick up my house, vaccum my upstairs, pack for my sales meeting tonight, get some food show allowances turned in and 40 minutes playing wii sports.

Awesome on the scale movement Jen

Thanks for the water idea FutureMrs & congrats on the loss!

Plmschic- I never let the small scale bumps scare me- I would go insane. I only take the loss's

Cara- If you are doing what you are suppose to, staying on plan have faith that things are going in the right direction. You could get a good look at the Candidae threads. The bloating that your feeling could be an indicator that something in your diet is causing a yeast over growth in your intestine and causing your weight loss to slow. I started yeast defense and a probiotic last week. I dropped a couple pounds within a few days. I found out I had a problem with pickles and peanut butter.

Congrats NewtoAtkins! Every little bit helps. I always weigh in the nude

Cruisgal- I am sure you will get those 3# before your cruise.

      Have a great day Gang

              Morning Everyone!

Feeling great and looking not too bad in my next-size-down jeans! Gotta love getting smaller!! Still a ways to go, but I plan on celebrating every small victory along the way!

Cara - why not opt for decaf coffee... and if you do, keep the cream 'cause it's allowed. I checked out your Fitday = your breakfast looks fine to me. What are you eating throughout the remainder of the day?

It's so great to check in to rollcall and see so many upbeat people!!
Keep up the great work, everyone... and happy losing!!
              Vickie

Edited to add: Way to go TJ - just 2.6 pounds to go until you're 199 and officially in One-derland!! You rock!!

decaf would be no point-I need the pickup, so I am a little afraid about tomorrow...I'd rather have another cube of cheese instead of cream, or at least I should be able to then... AS far as fitday, look at yesterday and the day before... I can't figure it and lots of people have told me coffee is okay- I really am only having 2 cups in the morning and that's it!

Caffeine is an individual thing. It messes some folks up, others not so much. There are plenty of things that affect some people more than others. Anti depressants, Sugar alcohols, and aspartame are just a few things off the top of my head.

Your menus look fine to me except on the 18th. It looks like you ate only two meals and 1200 calories. I would like to see you around 1700 divided up into 4 or 5 meals. If you space your meals out more, your metabolism stays "hotter". I have definately seen much worse menus with better results though. Are you taking any supplements, L-carnitine and chromium picolinate could be added if you aren't taking them right now? The only other thing I would wonder about would be any medication you are on. Your menus are much better than mine. Maybe someone else will see something.

You know, I take NO MEDICATION-Nothing! That is why I feel it is an idea, situation for me. I have said this several times in different areas-maybe now that I am 43, it is just impossible to lose! I was 37 when I had success the first time and went from 148 to 130 in roughly 3 1/2 weeks... I actually stayed on Induction and it was much easier as I was seeing results. I guess I don't want to take a supplement b/c then why bother with this wonderful way of life which is suppose to be iron clad in losing weight?? I would have spent less money on buying diet drugs from overseas! I thought at least this way I could eat well. I even thought I was having too many calories as nothing else seems to make sense for the halt-not even a stall as I have lost nothing. I am going to give up the coffee and the cream tomorrow and stick to these basic foods until I can't do it anymore. I will hopefully have a surprise next Monday on the scale, but I know my body and nothing is happening yet.

                            wow, big roll call thread!

                            checking in!

so I'd had maltitol here and there, having never had a problem with it before. I did some research, and it has a GLYCEMIC INDEX OF 38!!!! sucrose is 50! you may as well just eat sugar! I wondered why I was feeling dopey! anyhow, so that and all splenda have been given the boot. my herbalist said she'd be happier to hear that I'd been doing hard drugs than eating splenda. I had a good laugh over that one! AND the maltitol showed up as having screwed up my blood sugar. I feel lucky that I didn't gain any weight.

anyhow! holding steady at my weight, and starting induction again on monday after I do a big shop and make a point of buying sugar free bacon. the pre-cooked kind is just so darn convenient. ah well. I'm excited to have a strict couple of weeks! I'm going to eat as I have been until monday, save for the maltitol and stuff with splenda in it.

hope you're all having a lovely, on-plan thursday!

I started again fresh yesterday! I've not been able to get to my computer for awhile so it is really good to be back! I hope all are well!

Hi, everyone! Sorry I am posting so late, but have had a tough day today. My dad, whom I take care of because of Alzheimers, seems to be getting worse. Not completely violent as yet, but seems to be heading that way. It's so hard, but the way I look at it is, he always took care of me, so it's my turn. I am managing to keep cheat free, and eating mostly correctly. The pounds have slowed a little bit, but the inches seem to be coming off. My DH had taken a pic of me in September, and I hid it at that time cause it made me physically sick to look at it. But, I pulled it out today, and I feel like jumping for joy. It's hard to believe that it was me. At the time, I weighed 213 pounds. Now I am down to 185 since I started back on Jan. 1. Wow, I feel good. This is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Well, enough about me! Everyone, thank you for being here for me and for all. You all are the best!!!!
