    Checking in after being absent for several days.

    My poor hubby got the flu, 2 days before the inlaws were due to arrive. Lovely.
    But we got through the weekend and are now thankfully back on our own.

    Now I just have to get rid of al the food the inlaws bought to be "helpful" OJ, Milk, Yogurt, Bananas, Rice, Dumplings... And that was after we'd explained the way we eat to them. I think it's just rude when people ignore you like that.

    Anyway, I was able to stay strong and not eat any of the bad food they were preparing and was rewarded with an all-time low on the scale this morning!

    I hope it sticks, as this makes me 15 pounds down since I started in mid-March!

          Ok, since you asked...

          1. People are awesome. Like family.

          2. Fridge is *stocked* with seltzer for the taking.

          3. My office is 10 feet from the gym in the office (shower, elliptical, treadmill, cybex bike, some free weights and an all in one weight machine - plasma TV w/ digital cable and movie channels). The handbook says that employees can't use it during "normal business hours." However, upon clarification, we attorneys can use it anytime we want so long as we don't "come out dripping wet while clients are around." NICE.

          4. Free parking (no more $250/month parking).

          That's pretty much it. All in all, a good day...!

              We already re-routed the extra money via direct deposit to our son's 529 plan so we don't have to contribute as much at the end of the year. If we didn't do that right away, I'm sure I'd find lesser uses for it!

              The only downside to the gym is that it gives me an excuse to skip my early AM workout, knowing it's there. Maybe I'll save the work gym (lunchtime) for the winter when getting up at 6am in the pitch dark will be brutal. At least now, it's light out....we shall see....

                Checking in late as usual! Congrats to all the losers. I'm still stuck at 170 but I feel a whoosh coming on. Hopefully!! Worn out and going to bed!

                  I'm making a pledge to start checking in. I can't seem to get more than 3 days without cheating.....it has me frustrated (see other kick my tushie post)

                  I want to get this under control before 10 turns into 15,20,30 and back up to where I was. I don't want to go there again - yet i am falling into old habbits and loosing my game.

                  My oldest daughter turns 4 on Thursday - so timing sucks -no birthday cake!! I don't even really like cake....The party is Sunday - remind me not to bother with the cake

                  I think i need some new recipe ideas - it feels stale for me. I'm bored eating the same old things

                    Erika, I just found this forum on my second try at Atkins. You are so smart to want to keep a rein on your cheat days. I think one of the reasons I grew away from my plan of eating was I was doing everything for my husband and kids and nothing for myself. I got very formulaic in my recipes and basically got bored. There are some great ideas about food here. I am really enjoying trying some different things. You are doing so well!

                      I am doing good today. I got very formulaic (new word?? like it ) too and feel the boredom. I've also fallen into the trap of not taking care of myself. This sumemr I am returning to school to begin a pathway to chase a calling I have felt. That feels SO wonderufl - but Spring was FULL of crazy and hectic days applying, visiting, and reasearching sschooling options and hence a lot of stress eating. I am finding out it's a lot harder to be a non-traditional student than it was the first time around begining with a clean slate and no family to boot. But I am determined to follow this calling. I am equally determined to not gain the weight back - but i'm not feeling very healthful even at a healthy weight. KWIM?

                      Ok I'm off to work on ym to-do list while my girls are napping.
